[Vedettes matières IGN] Traitement de données GNSSRésumé : (auteur) Currently there are limited supportive and reliable commercial software packages for GNSS/INS data processing. The shortage of compatible GNSS/INS data processing software has become a bottleneck in the development of position and orientation systems (POS) for survey and mapping applications. Thus this paper introduces a GNSS/INS data processing software called Cinertial, which has been recently developed in China, with open definitions of data format and parameters. The algorithm design of the software is described in detail, including the realisation of INS mechanisation, Kalman filtering, and backward smoothing. The developed software is tested and evaluated by comparing it with mainstream commercial software through processing the same field test datasets. A precise and feasible comparison procedure is proposed in the paper, so as to evaluate the quality of any new POS software in an efficient, convenient, and cost-effective way. The procedure was applied to compare our new software with two well known commercial software packages through processing airborne and terrestrial datasets respectively. The results show that the new software can achieve the same level of accuracy as the current commercial software on the market, which reflects a new progress of the POS development in China. Selecting Laplacian Eignemaps (LE) as the test method, this paper studies the effects of distance metric selection in LE and proposes a spectral-angle-based LE method (LE-SA)to be compared against the traditional LE-based on Euclidean distance (LE-ED). Le-SA and LA-ED were applied to two airborne hyperspectral data sets and the dimensionlity-reduced data were quantitatively evalueted. Experimental results demonstrated that LE-SA is able to suppress the variations within the same type of features, such as variations in vegetation and those in illuminations due to shade orientations, and maintain a higher level of overall separability among different features than LE-ED. Further, the potential usage of a single LA-SA or LE-ED band for target detection is discussed. [Termes IGN] trait de côteRésumé : (Auteur) This paper investigates the geopositioning accuracy achievable from integrating IKONOS and QuickBird satellite stereo image pairs with aerial images acquired over a region at Tampa Bay, Florida. The results showed that the accuracy is related to a few factors of imaging geometry. For example, the geopositioning accuracy of a stereo pair of IKONOS or QuickBird images can be improved by integrating a set of aerial images, even just a single aerial image or a stereo pair of aerial images. Shorelines derived from the IKONOS and QuickBird stereo images, particularly the vertical positions, are compared with the corresponding observations of water-penetrating LiDAR and water gauge stations and proved that differences are within the limit of the geopositioning uncertainty of the satellite images. [Termes IGN] précision géométrique (imagerie)Résumé : (Auteur) This research investigated the accuracy in three-dimensional (3D) geopositioning achieved by integrating Ikonos and QuickBird images using the vendor-provided rational polynomial coefficients (RPCs). One pair of stereo Ikonos images and one pair of stereo QuickBird images were collected for the same region of Tampa Bay, Florida, and used in this study. Results of 3D geopositioning from different combinations of Ikonos and QuickBird stereo images were generated by using an improved rational function model (RFM). The relationship between the satellite-borne pointing geometry and the attainable ground accuracy is examined. This research demonstrates that the integration of Ikonos and QuickBird images is feasible and can improve the 3D geopositioning accuracy using a proper combination of images.
