[Termes IGN] Triangulated Irregular NetworkRésumé : (auteur) The aim of this paper is the detection of simple landscape features on triangulated elevation models computed from contour lines. This will enable the derivation of qualitative information as illustarted in (Bonin and Rousseaux, 2005), and the adaptation of algorithms based upon the landscape morphology. The five landscape features which we try to identify are summit areas, talweg areas, slope areas, hills and basins. [Vedettes matières IGN] GénéralisationRésumé : (auteur) Our research aims at examining if the transformation of map features (mainly their positions) from one scale to another can be automated using morphing techniques, more specifically warping techniques. The main goal is to develop an experimental method based on warping techniques, to transform one urban block into its equivalent at a smaller scale. This transformation would stimulate the propagation of the exaggeration of the road symbols to the neighbouring features (mainly building).
