[Termes IGN] système d'information foncièreRésumé : (auteur) Spatial information of land values is fundamental for planners and policy makers. Individual appraisals are costly, explaining the need for predictive modelling. Recent work has investigated using Space Syntax to analyse urban access and explain land values. However, the spatial dependence of urban land markets has not been addressed in such studies. Further, the selection of meaningful variables is commonly conducted under non-spatialized modelling conditions. The objective of this paper is to construct a land value map using a geostatistical approach using Space Syntax and a spatialized variable selection. The methodology is applied in Guatemala City. We used an existing dataset of residential land value appraisals and accessibility metrics. Regression-kriging was used to conduct variable selection and derive a model for spatial prediction. The prediction accuracy is compared with a multivariate regression. The results show that a spatialized variable selection yields a more parsimonious model with higher prediction accuracy. New insights were found on how Space Syntax explains land value variability when also modelling the spatial dependence. Space Syntax can contribute with relevant spatialized information for predictive land value modelling purposes. Finally, the spatial modelling framework facilitates the production of spatial information of land values that is relevant for planning practice. [Termes IGN] précision du positionnementRésumé : (auteur) (Auteur) The disparity between the legal understanding of boundaries and their surveyed location is explained. The impacts of this disparity on three boundary fabrics issues: survey-accuracy; greening cadastres; and crowdsourced cadastres are then examined. The features are selected based on contemporary discourse within the domain of land administration. Survey-accuracy is found to be a confused, misused, and often politicized term. The concept of idealization precision should be revisited and embedded into both curriculum and cadastral design. Green boundaries, at least some forms, are already handled in some systems; however, newer varieties require better tools for adjudication, demarcation, survey, recording, and adherence. Crowdsourced data can be understood as a re-emergence of deeds style registration with its associated benefits and disadvantages. It might support existing cadastral systems, particularly those that lack complete coverage; however, it may also be used to publicize discontent with these existing systems. The paper illustrates lessons, threats, and opportunities for land practitioners involved with the establishment and maintenance of the legal boundary fabric. [Termes IGN] web sémantiqueRésumé : (Auteur) [avant-propos] This book is the result of a collaborative initiative of the Global Spatial Data Infrastructure Association (GSDI), the European Commission's Joint Research Centre, the European umbrella organisation for geographic information (EUROGI), the Dutch innovation program Space for Geo-Information (RGI) and Geonovum, the Netherlands SDI executive committee. In addition to the traditional call for papers for the joint GSDI-11/ INSPIRE/ Geonovum RGI conference 'Spatial Data Infrastructure Convergence: Building SDI Bridges to Address Global Challenges' contributions of full articles were solicited for publication in this peer reviewed volume. In several instances, the articles submitted addressed the theme of the conference. In others they stuck to the more traditional fields of SDI. The reviewing process resulted in twenty articles that together can be summarised as Spatial Data Infrastructure Convergence: Research, Emerging Trends, and Critical Assessment. These topics are represented well in this volume. Note de contenu : - Peer Review Board for SDI Convergence: Research, Emerging Trends, and Critical Assessment

[Termes IGN] système d'information géographiqueRésumé : (auteur) This study looks at ‘Systems of land registration’, and particularly at aspects (of these systems) and their effects (on the well functioning of these systems). The focus is on the technical, legal, and organizational aspects of systems of land registration and their interrelations, and the effects thereof on the functioning of systems of land registration. This is done through a (comparative) case study in four countries. The subject matter of systems of land registration is introduced in this chapter. Attention is given to the existing knowledge regarding the subject matter, including the strengths and weaknesses thereof, and to the role a systems approach can play thereby. Special attention is given in § 2 to the relevance of land registration for a society. In § 3 the research questions that form the base for this study are elaborated. The methodologies used for tackling those (literature study and case study) are described, as well as how this was undertaken. At the end of the chapter an outline of the structure of the rest of this study is given, in which all of the above themes are further elaborated. Note de contenu : 1 INTRODUCTION
