[Termes IGN] méthode des moindres carrésRésumé : (Auteur) [introduction] Les techniques actuelles de mesure de pesanteur terrestre, depuis les observations spatiales jusqu'aux mesures ponctuelles à la surface, couvrent un large spectre de longueurs d'onde du champ de pesanteur de la Terre. Les données acquises permettent non seulement la réalisation de modèles étendus de géoïde à haute résolution, mais aussi de suivre dans le temps toutes sortes de phénomènes. Cependant, les couvertures spatiale et spectrale des mesures gravimétriques ne sont pas homogènes à la surface de la Terre. Certaines régions difficiles d'accès sont quasiment vierges de toute mesure gravimétrique terrestre. De plus, la gamme des longueurs d'onde intermédiaires (10 à 100 km) est mal couverte par la gravimétrie terrestre à ce jour et n’est pas accessible par gravimétrie spatiale. C'est dans cet objectif qu’il a été décidé de développer un système de gravimétrie mobile autonome, technique capable de pallier les insuffisances des techniques gravimétriques actuelles. Le système Limo-G (Light moving Gravimetry system) est un gravimètre vectoriel absolu, composé de trois accéléromètres et d'un système GPS à quatre antennes, pouvant être embarqué dans toutes sortes de véhicule (véhicule terrestre, bateau, avion), fiable, ergonomique et peu onéreux (Cali et al., 2006). [Termes IGN] variation séculaireRésumé : (Auteur) À l'intérieur et à la surface de la Terre, les déplacements de masses peuvent engendrer un déplacement du Centre de masse (CM) du « système Terre » (incluant les océans et l'atmosphère) par rapport au centre géométrique de la Terre solide ou Centre de figure (CF), et inversement. [...] Nous n'avions jusque récemment qu'une très vague idée de l'évolution temporelle naturelle que devrait présenter l'origine de l'ITRS. Il faut dire que très peu d'études scientifiques se sont intéressées au mouvement "séculaire" du géocentre. Nous allons voir ici que ce mouvement, bien que n'expliquant pas complètement l'écart entre les différentes réalisations de l'ITRS, est probablement loin d'être négligeable, et qu'une des sources prépondérants de ce mouvement est le changement climatique récent. [Termes IGN] variationRésumé : (Auteur) [introduction] La connaissance à haute résolution du champ de pesanteur et du géoïde, surface équipotentielle du champ qui se confond avec le niveau moyen des océans sans courants ni marées, est essentielle pour de nombreuses applications. La surface de référence des altitudes, qui permet la conversion des hauteurs mesurées par GPS en altitudes, est calculée à partir d’un modèle de géoïde. En mer, le géoïde est la surface de référence pour la détermination des courants marins. Enfin, la connaissance du champ de pesanteur et de ses variations temporelles renseigne sur la distribution des masses dans le système Terre. [...] Pour atteindre cet objectif, l’utilisation de représentations fonctionnelles du champ de pesanteur, à partir de fonctions localisées à la fois spatialement et spectralement, est très appropriée. Elle permet de combiner les mesures en leur affectant différentes pondérations dans les différentes bandes spectrales et spatiales. Dans cet article, nous présentons le principe de ces représentations et du calcul de modèles en ondelettes du champ de pesanteur terrestre, ainsi qu'un exemple d’application au calcul du champ de pesanteur sur le Japon.
