However, in the past four years, through the creation of the International DORIS Service, a larger international cooperation was involved. Furthermore, the precision of its scientific applications (geodesy, geophysics) gradually improved and expanded to new fields (atmospheric sciences), leading, for example, to the publication of a special issue of the Journal of Geodesy. The goal of this manuscript is to present and explain these changes and to put them in perspective with current results obtained with other space geodetic techniques, such as GPS or Satellite Laser Ranging. [Termes IGN] test de performanceRésumé : (Editeur) GATE (Galileo Test Environment) is the only Galileo test and development environment worldwide where already today navigation is possible with realistic Galileo Signals on all frequencies in an outdoor area. Six transmissions stations deployed on top of six mountains in the German Alps, and two monitoring stations in the valley are the components making GATE a unique test environment. Receivers and applications being operated on the test ground receive the transmitted signals in such a way as if they were radiated from real Galileo satellites in the earth orbit. Thus, GATE enables an early development of technologies, receivers, applications and services, which will decisively influence the navigation market and so fosters the development in nearly all fields of Galileo products. [Termes IGN] récepteur GPSRésumé : (Auteur) The development and numerical values of the new absolute phase-center correction model for GPS receiver and satellite antennas, as adopted by the International GNSS (global navigation satellite systems) Service, are presented. Fixing absolute receiver antenna phase-center corrections to robot-based calibrations, the GeoForschungsZentrum Potsdam (GFZ) and the Technische Universität München reprocessed more than 10 years of GPS data in order to generate a consistent set of nadir-dependent phase-center variations (PCVs) and offsets in the z-direction pointing toward the Earth for all GPS satellites in orbit during that period. The agreement between the two solutions estimated by independent software packages is better than 1 mm for the PCVs and about 4 cm for the z-offsets. In addition, the long time-series facilitates the study of correlations of the satellite antenna corrections with several other parameters such as the global terrestrial scale or the orientation of the orbital planes with respect to the Sun. Finally, completely reprocessed GPS solutions using different phase-center correction models demonstrate the benefits from switching from relative to absolute antenna phase-center corrections. For example, tropospheric zenith delay biases between GPS and very long baseline interferometry (VLBI), as well as the drift of the terrestrial scale, are reduced and the GPS orbit consistency is improved. As a dispersive medium, it is possible to compute its influence on the GPS signal with the ionosphere-free linear combination of L1 and L2 observables, requiring dual-frequency receivers. In the case of single-frequency receivers, ionospheric effects are either neglected or reduced by using a model. In this paper, an alternative for single-frequency users is proposed. It involves multiresolution analysis (MRA) using a wavelet analysis of the double-difference observations to remove the short- and medium-scale ionosphere variations and disturbances, as well as some minor tropospheric effects. Experiments were carried out over three baseline lengths from 50 to 450 km, and the results provided by the proposed method were better than those from dual-frequency receivers. The horizontal root mean square was of about 0.28 m (1ó). Après avoir lancé le système de positionnement par satellites Transit qui amènera l'IGN à s'équiper en récepteurs Doppler, les Etats Unis développe un nouveau système, le GPS dès 1978. La technologie progresse et les modes de positionnement permettent une précision encore jamais atteinte en position absolue. Aujourd'hui, le réseau mondial de stations de référence densifié en Europe comme en France, (réseau géodésique permanent français) permet le "mode cinématique multistations de référence". Côté photogrammétrie, c'est encore l'informatique qui fait évoluer les matériels. On passe de l'analogique à l'analytique, puis au tout numérique. Les images sont maintenant directement numériques à l'IGN, grâce à une nouvelle chambre à détecteurs de transfert de charge. La BD Ortho de l'IGN couvre la France d'orthoimages et le géoportail permet de visualiser toutes ces images.
