[Termes IGN] SIFT (algorithme)Résumé : (Auteur) Ortho-rectification of very high resolution imagery from agile platforms using Rigorous Sensor Model / Rational Functional Model is quite challenging and demands a fair amount of interactivity in Ground Control Point (GCP) identification/selection for refining the model and for final product evaluation. The paper proposes achieving complete automation in the ortho-rectification process by eliminating all the interactive components, and incorporating fault tolerance mechanisms within the model to make the process robust and reliable. The key aspects proposed in this paper are: two stage Scale Invariant Feature Transform (SIFT) based matching to obtain a large numbers of checkpoints using much coarser resolution images such as Landsat/ETM+, followed by a GA to select the right combination of minimal GCPS based on minimizing Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) and maximizing the area covered under GCPS, and finally, a decision rule based product evaluation to make the process operate in an "autonomous closed loop mode". The method is generic and has been tested on hundreds of Cartosat-1/2 images, and has achieved above 90% reliability with sub-pixel relative error of reference data. [Termes IGN] photogrammétrie terrestreRésumé : (auteur) Metric calibration is a critical prerequisite to the application of modern, mostly consumer-grade digital cameras for close-range photogrammetric measurement. This paper reviews aspects of sensor modelling and photogrammetric calibration, with attention being focussed on techniques of automated self-calibration. Following an initial overview of the history and the state of the art, selected topics of current interest within calibration for close-range photogrammetry are addressed. These include sensor modelling, with standard, extended and generic calibration models being summarised, along with non-traditional camera systems. Self-calibration via both targeted planar arrays and targetless scenes amenable to SfM-based exterior orientation are then discussed, after which aspects of calibration and measurement accuracy are covered. Whereas camera self-calibration is largely a mature technology, there is always scope for additional research to enhance the models and processes employed with the many camera systems nowadays utilised in close-range photogrammetry. [Termes IGN] vectorisationRésumé : (auteur) In this paper, a novel road vectorization methodology based on image space clustering technique and weighted graph theory is presented. The proposed methodology describes a road as a set of optimized points on the centerline which should be connected by defining a number of appropriate criteria. The main contribution of this paper is to design a weighting scheme for combining a small number of road identities using Ordered Weighted Averaging (OWA) operators by defining appropriate decision strategy. In this regard, a novel geometric criterion is introduced. Result of the OWA aggregation specifies weight of each edge in the road network graph. Comparing the proposed approach with two state-of-the-art image space clustering-based road vectorization methods proves its efficiency to deal with roads with different widths, parallel roads with different distances, different types of intersections, and also noise clusters. Obtaining improved quality measures for several high-resolution images, demonstrates the successfulness of the vectorization approach. [Termes IGN] système de numérisation mobileRésumé : (auteur) In recent years, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) have been used increasingly as mobile mapping platforms for kinematic applications in the field of geodesy. For this purpose a UAV is usually equipped with a mapping sensor, such as a camera or a laserscanner. A major step to make the collected data useful for surveying applications is the georeferencing, which associates the images or range measurements and the derived products (point clouds, orthofotos, 3D models) with a spatial reference. In this dissertation the development of a direct georeferencing system for real-time position and attitude determination of lightweight UAVs is presented. The term „direct" means that the georeferencing is based on an onboard multi-sensor system. Sensors, which are typically used in this context, are GPS (Global Positioning System) receivers, inertial sensors and magnetometers. For geodetic UAV-applications Micro-UAVs are usually applied, which have a weight limit of 5 kg. Therefore, weight, size and power supply constraints play an important role here. As a result of these limitations inertial sensors based on MEMS (Micro Electro Mechanical System) technology are mostly used. This technology enables the compliance with size and weight limits, but it also leads to significant drift effects in the position and attitude determination after a short period of time. To bound these drift effects and to be able to provide high accuracies (e.g. position: 5 cm, attitude: 0.5 deg) in the direct georeferencing of a Micro-UAV, a high availability of precise GPS carrier phase measurements is crucially important. As a consequence the following aspects will be addressed in this dissertation:
• GPS carrier phase measurements are ambiguous by an unknown number of integer cycles. These so called ambiguities have to be resolved after every loss of lock of the satellite signals to fully exploit the high accuracies of the carrier phase observables. Since the satellite signals are interrupted frequently during kinematic applications, procedures are developed, implemented and evaluated, which enable a fast ambiguity resolution and allow for a high availability of CPS carrier phase measurements under challenging GPS measurement conditions.
• With the aim to realize high accuracies and a high robustness, redundant information from several sensors is integrated in a sensible manner in sensorfusion algorithms In order to be able to deal with challenging GPS measurement conditions, the sensorfusion is realized at the level of GPS raw measurements in a tightly-coupled GPS/MEMS-IMU integration algorithm. In this way GPS carrier phase measurements can even be used, if less than four satellites are visible, which also increases the availability of a precise position estimation. The accuracy improvements of a tightly-coupled over a loosely-coupled integration during challenging GPS measurement conditions are investigated.
• The algorithms are implemented on a multi-sensor system, which has been developed for the direct georeferencing of lightweight UAVs in this dissertation. Results of flight tests and measurements with a portable test system demonstrate that the developed direct georeferencing system leads to position accuracies of less than 5 cm and attitude (roll, pitch, yaw) accuracies of less than 0.2 deg, if GPS carrier-phase measurements are available. Overall, this dissertation gives detailed insights into the development of algorithms and a multi-sensor system for the direct georeferencing of lightweight UAVs in real-time. The findings gained in this thesis are not only valid for the position and attitude determination of lightweight UAVs but also for other mobile platforms, such as cars, ships, airplanes or rail-borne vehicles. Therefore, this work makes an important contribution to a current trend in the field of engineering geodesy, where mapping, monitoring and also setting-out is more and more realized using mobile mapping systems.Numéro de notice : 17380 Affiliation des auteurs : non IGN Thématique : IMAGERIE Nature : Thèse étrangère Note de thèse : Dissertation : : Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn : 2016 DOI : sans En ligne : https://dgk.badw.de/fileadmin/user_upload/Files/DGK/docs/c-788.pdf Format de la ressource électronique : URL Permalink : https://documentation.ensg.eu/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=84793 Fusion of hyperspectral images and digital surface models for urban object extraction / Janja Avbelj (2016)PermalinkPermalinkLocalisation à base d’amers visuels : Cartographie et mise en correspondance de marquages au sol et intégration dans LBA / Bahman Soheilian (2016)PermalinkParallel computing in photogrammetry / Andrey Sechin in GIM international, vol 30 n° 1 (January 2016)PermalinkPhotogrammetric computer vision / Wolfgang Förstner (2016)PermalinkPermalinkBuilding cities using UAV / Martin Schwall in Geoinformatics, vol 18 n° 8 (December 2015)Permalink11 Events under One Umbrella / Anonyme in GIM international, vol 29 n° 11 (November 2015)PermalinkGlobal localization of autonomous robots in forest environments / Marwan Hussein in Photogrammetric Engineering & Remote Sensing, PERS, vol 81 n° 11 (November 2015)PermalinkNote technique : Apport de la photogrammétrie au suivi topographique de la flèche littorale de Joal (Sénégal) / Mamadou Sadio in Photo interprétation, European journal of applied remote sensing, vol 51 n° 3 (septembre 2015)Permalink
