[Termes IGN] Trois Gorges, barrage desRésumé : (Auteur) The differential INSAR technique has the potential for monitoring centimeter-scale ground motion in an accurate and cost-effective manner. Probably the most important limiting factor in the application of INSAR is temporal change in the complex reflectivity of the ground surface during the period between radar acquisitions. This can be due to changes in such parameters as moisture content or vegetation. The stable artificial corner reflectors can be identified from long temporal series of interferometric SAR images even with large baselines, and therefore decrease the risk of image decorrelation. This paper will discuss the following questions: 1) how to obtain the true phase of a corner reflector in a SAR complex image; 2) how to co-register the corner reflector pixels when the coherence of its surrounding area is extremely low; 3) how to select the interpolation kernel to resample the SAR image; and, 4) how to compute the interferometric phase of two co-registered corner reflectors without flat earth term and corners' height contribution. In order to demonstrate the results, a practical example of landslide monitoring in the Three Gorges area in China is presented. [Termes IGN] regroupement de pointsRésumé : (Auteur) In this paper, a three-dimensional (3-D) interferometric synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) imaging method for moving targets is presented. This imaging method is based on the ISAR principle and the simple observation that all scatterers on a moving target move in tandem. The angular motion parameters in the cross-range directions could be estimated using the overall range profile of the moving target. Registration of the respective complex images at the two (or more) interferometric antennas can then be achieved via compensating the respective echoes at the raw data level, thus avoiding phase-unwrapping processing and image-resampling processing as required by conventional methods. Finally, a 3-D image of the moving target can then be reconstructed from the 3-D spatial coordinates of these scatterers. Furthermore, the method works well even for a target moving in heavily cluttered environments. [Termes IGN] système de référence géodésiqueRésumé : (Auteur) This paper provides a closed-form solution to the geolocation problem arising in the generation of digital elevation models (DEMs) via both stereo and interferometric synthetic aperture radar techniques. The proposed solution is found with no approximations in an arbitrary Cartesian reference system, thus, efficiently allowing the generation of DEMs in a chosen cartographic projection. Moreover, it is amenable of an easy and precise sensivity analysis that exploits the full three-dimensional nature of the problem, thus being particularly useful when high-squinted and/or crossed-track acquisitions are considered. [Termes IGN] modèle numérique de surfaceRésumé : (Auteur) The demands for ground digital elevation models (DEMs) have been increasing rapidly. Many modern mapping technologies, such as lidar scanning, interferometric SAR (IfSAR), and stereo image matching, are capable of generating digital surface models (DSMs) directly. Research on deriving DEMs from DSMs is a topical area. Airborne IfSAR technology has been in commercial operation since 1996. However, it is still technically challenging to automate the process of generating DEMs from IfSAR DSMs. The lack of scientific studies in this area is mainly caused by the sensitivity and availability of commercial IfSAR data. In this study, researchers have been working with the commercial IfSAR system developer to perform an initial study on automatic reconstruction of ground DEMsfrom IfSAR DSMs. This paper presents a compact and yet efficient version of our developed approach. This approach has been tested by using many IfSAR DSMs in different hilly urban areas with light and moderate variations in relief. An accuracy analysis of the reconstructed ground DEMs against the laser DSMs and DEMs has also been performed to test the reliability and efficiency of our approach.
