[Termes IGN] visionRésumé : (auteur) Measuring perceptions of visual walkability in urban streets and exploring the associations between the visual features of the street built environment that make walking attractive to humans are both theoretically and practically important. Previous studies have used either environmental audits and subjective evaluations that have limitations in terms of cost, time, and measurement scale, or computer-aided audits based on natural street view images (SVIs) but with gaps in real perception. In this study, a virtual reality panoramic image-based deep learning framework is proposed for measuring visual walkability perception (VWP) and then quantifying and visualizing the contributing visual features. A VWP classification deep multitask learning (VWPCL) model was first developed and trained on human ratings of panoramic SVIs in virtual reality to predict VWP in six categories. Second, a regression model was used to determine the degree of correlation of various objects with one of the six VWP categories based on semantic segmentation. Furthermore, an interpretable deep learning model was used to assist in identifying and visualizing elements that contribute to VWP. The experiment validated the accuracy of the VWPCL model for predicting VWP. The results represent a further step in understanding the interplay of VWP and street-level semantics and features. [Termes IGN] transport collectifRésumé : (auteur) Angkot is the most often found public transportation in Surabaya City. However, there is no angkot routes map, and the officially published route information is textual, thus hard to get the transit information quickly. Meanwhile, people with colour vision impairment have a different perception of colour compared to people with normal vision. It can affect them in making decisions when reading a map. The purpose of this study is to design a colourblind-friendly Surabaya City angkot route map prototype and to conduct a cartographic evaluation of the map by considering the colour vision impairment factor. The map was created using ArcGIS and CorelDRAW then checked by using several software packages to ensure that the colours are colourblind-friendly then tested on people with normal vision and people with colour vision impairment. Fifteen out of 15 respondents with normal vision and 11 out of 11 respondents with colour vision impairment could distinguish the colours of the route. All respondents mentioned that symbols and some texts were too small. It shows that the colours on the map can accommodate both groups, but they have difficulty reading the route map because the size of the symbols and the text is too small. [Termes IGN] vision par ordinateurRésumé : (auteur) Virtual 3D modeling is widely implemented in urban planning and design. To evaluate urban planning modeling, based on existing computer vision models, this article aims to improve performance in the field of human perception analysis for urban street views. In this study, the PSP module extracts detailed features from recognized objects of different sizes, an attention mechanism is applied to solve the problem of large information differences in pictures, and transfer learning technology is used to expand the model to the field of virtual 3D modeling to extract more representative and universal features, similar to how humans perceive street view information. Finally, we obtain a more objective, stable, and accurate neural network model that imitates human perception. This evaluation model converges within the correct interval on the training and validation datasets compared with an evaluation of virtual modeling by a large number of people. [Termes IGN] transformation intensité-teinte-saturationRésumé : (auteur) Content based image retrieval (CBIR) process can retrieve images by matching its feature set values. The proposed novel CBIR methodology called Effective CBIR based on hybrid image features and multilevel approach (CBIR_LTP_GLCM) integrates the hybrid features such as color features and texture features, along with multilevel approach. The color features such as mean and standard deviation are adopted in the proposed method to represent the global color properties of an image. This method manipulates the color input-image by processing the Hue, Saturation and Value channels of the HSV color space. This novel work is enriched with the image feature derived from Local Ternary Pattern (LTP) in addition with GLCM. So, the proposed method CBIR_LTP_GLCM is potentially charged with meaningful modifications travelling with color image manipulation and extended image retrieval accuracy with the aid of multilevel approach. The proposed methodology is experimentally compared with the existing recent CBIR versions by using the standard database such as Corel-1 k, and a user contributed database named DB_VEG. [Termes IGN] téléphone intelligentRésumé : (Auteur) Accurate ground measurements of fractional vegetation cover (FVC) are key for characterizing ecosystem functions and evaluating remote sensing products. The increasing performance of cameras equipped in smartphones opens new opportunities for extensive FVC measurement through citizen science initiatives. However, the wide field of view (FOV) of smartphone cameras constitutes a key source of uncertainty in the estimation of vegetation parameters, which has been largely ignored. We designed a practical method to characterize the FOV of smartphones and improve the FVC estimation. The method was assessed in a mountainous forest based on the comparison with in situ fisheye photographs. After the FOV correction, the agreement of smart-phone and fisheye FVC estimates highly improved: root-mean-square error (RMSE) of 0.103 compared to 0.242 of the original smartphone FVC estimates without considering the FOV effect, mean difference of 0.074 versus 0.213, and coefficient of determination R 2 of 0.719 versus 0.353. Smartphone cameras outperform traditional fisheye cameras: the overexposure and low vertical resolution of fisheye photographs introduced uncertainties in FVCestimation while the insensitivity to exposure and high spatial resolution of smartphone cameras make photograph acquisition and analysis more automatic and accurate. The smartphone FVCestimates highly agree with the GF-1 satellite product: RMSE = 0.066, bias = 0.007, and R 2 = 0.745. This study opens new perspectives for the validation of satellite products.
