[Termes IGN] réseau routierRésumé : (auteur) Importing spatial open data in OpenStreetMap (OSM) project, is a practice that has existed from the beginning of the project. The rapid development and multiplication of collaborative mapping tools and open data have led to the growth of the phenomenon of importing massive data into OSM. The goal of this paper is to study the evolution of the massive imports over time. We propose an approach in three steps: classification of the sources used to edit features in the OSM platform including those massively imported, classification of modifications, and identification of evolution patterns. The approach is mixing global analysis (i.e. sources and modifications are classified) and feature based analysis (i.e. imported features are analyzed with respect to their evolution over time). The approach is applied on three datasets coming from OSM considered for their heterogeneity in terms of complexity, imports, and spatial and temporal characteristics. The results show that there is a sustained activity of edition on imported features, with a ratio between geometry editions and semantic editions depending on the type of the features, with roads being the features concentrating the most activity. [Termes IGN] traitement de données localiséesRésumé : (auteur) Mobile sensors are increasingly used to monitor air quality to accurately quantify human exposure to air pollution. These sensors are subject to various issues (misuse, malfunctions, battery problems, etc) that are likely to cause data quality problems. These quality problems may have a considerable impact on the reliability of analytical studies. In this work, we address the problem of data quality evaluation and improvement in mobile crowd-sensing environments. Our work is focused on the data completeness quality dimension. We introduce a multi-dimensional model to represent the data coming from the sensors in this context, and then present the different facets of data completeness inspired by the model. We propose quality indicators capturing different facets of completeness along with their corresponding quality metrics. We also propose an approach to improve data completeness by extending two existing data imputation techniques, SVDImpute and KNNImpute, with information about the sensor quality. Our experiments show that our quality-aware imputation approach improves the accuracy of the imputation achieved by the original techniques. [Termes IGN] précision des donnéesRésumé : (auteur) All geospatial data are updated periodically. Cadastral parcel mapping, however, has special update requirements that set it apart from other geospatial data. Mapped boundaries change continuously to fit with new survey plans. Additionally, new parcels have to be fitted and aligned with adjoining parcels to merge them into existing cadastral mapping. This is preferably performed by a spatial adjustment approach to systematically improve its accuracy over time. This paper adapts methods for analysis and adjustment of survey networks to improve the accuracy of cadastral mapping with better coordinate positioning and survey plan dimensions. Case studies for both hypothetical and real cadastral mapping are used to illustrate the issues and spatially resolve errors. Adjustment results achieve an accuracy consistent with other GIS layers and boundary features visible in high-resolution orthoimagery. Graphical charts based on stress–strain relationships provide a simplified means to interpret post-adjustment results to identify and fix potential errors. [Termes IGN] téléphonie mobileRésumé : (auteur) Digital location traces are a relevant source of insights into how citizens experience their cities. Previous works using call detail records (CDRs) tend to focus on modeling the spatial and temporal patterns of human mobility, not paying much attention to the semantics of places, thus failing to model and enhance the understanding of the motivations behind people’s mobility. In this paper, we applied a methodology for identifying individual users’ routine locations and propose an approach for attaching semantic meaning to these locations. Specifically, we used circular sectors that correspond to cellular antennas’ signal areas. In those areas, we found that all contained points of interest (POIs), extracted their most important attributes (opening hours, check-ins, category) and incorporated them into the classification. We conducted experiments with real-world data from Coimbra, Portugal, and the initial experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed methodology to infer activities in the user’s routine areas. [Termes IGN] Web Map Tile ServiceRésumé : (auteur) In this paper, we present our workflow to automatically reconstruct three-dimensional (3D) building models based on two-dimensional building polygons and a lidar point cloud. The workflow generates models at different levels of detail (LoDs) to support data requirements of different applications from one consistent source. Specific attention has been paid to make the workflow robust to quickly run a new iteration in case of improvements in an algorithm or in case new input data become available. The quality of the reconstructed data highly depends on the quality of the input data and is monitored in several steps of the process. A 3D viewer has been developed to view and download the openly available 3D data at different LoDs in different formats. The workflow has been applied to all 10 million buildings of the Netherlands. The 3D service will be updated after new input data becomes available.
