[Termes IGN] photogrammétrie numériqueRésumé : (Auteur) Temporal analysis of Landsat-TM imageries reveals a saturated state of Kolkata (Calcutta) Metropolitan Area. However, the city has witnessed accelerated growth in real estate construction in recent past. This study applies digital photogrammetry to quantify the changes in Kolkata’s skyline. Recently, released SRTM DEM of 1 Arc Second and a digital surface model derived from WorldView-1 stereo images were used to account for the past and recent surface heights, respectively. Consequently, this paper examines whether the sustained addition in housing capacity has been necessarily driven by a growth in the urban population/number of households. Results show that 40.31% of the area experienced vertical growth, majorly by replacing older dwellings with taller apartment blocks. Further analysis reveals that part of these newly added residences has remained unoccupied as they were purchased by non-resident Indians for using as a second home or was never sold due to recent economic slowdown. [Termes IGN] simulationRésumé : (Auteur) The reliability of raster cellular automaton (CA) models for fine-scale land change simulations has been increasingly questioned, because regular pixels/grids cannot precisely represent irregular geographical entities and their interactions. Vector CA models can address these deficiencies due to the ability of the vector data structure to represent realistic urban entities. This study presents a new land parcel cellular automaton (LP-CA) model for simulating urban land changes. The innovation of this model is the use of ensemble learning method for automatic calibration. The proposed model is applied in Shenzhen, China. The experimental results indicate that bagging-Naïve Bayes yields the highest calibration accuracy among a set of selected classifiers. The assessment of neighborhood sensitivity suggests that the LP-CA model achieves the highest simulation accuracy with neighbor radius r = 2. The calibrated LP-CA is used to project future urban land use changes in Shenzhen, and the results are found to be consistent with those specified in the official city plan. [Termes IGN] zone urbaineRésumé : (auteur) The use of disparity information is computationally coste-effective for 3D-assisted mapping applications. However, off-nadir satellite images over dense urban areas suffer from severe occlusion. Therefore, large gaps will be created due to the unsuccessful matching in the occluded areas. Commonly, gap interpolation produces misleading information that destroys the quality of the subsequent information extraction application. Hence, the more reliable solution is to fill the occlusion gaps by supplementary data. However, disparity maps are the co-relation of one stereo pair. Hence, supplementary disparity maps cannot be directly generated and applied. Thus, this paper introduces the Double Projection Plane (DPP) method for constructing disparity proportionality among multi-view stereo satellite images and calculating analytically the transferring scales required for producing supplementary disparity data. Accordingly, based on multi-view stereo satellite images, this method is promising to provide gap-and-outlier-free disparity maps that have the potential to replace the need for elevation models to some extent. [Termes IGN] villeRésumé : (Auteur) Since it was first described about two centuries ago and due to its adverse impacts on urban ecological environment and the overall livability of cities, the urban heat island (UHI) phenomenon has been, and still is, an important research topic across various fields of study. However, UHI studies on cities in mountain regions are still lacking. This study aims to contribute to this endeavor by monitoring and examining the formation of surface UHI (SUHI) in a tropical mountain city of Southeast Asia –Baguio City, the summer capital of the Philippines– using Landsat data (1987–2015). Based on mean surface temperature difference between impervious surface (IS) and green space (GS1), SUHI intensity (SUHII) in the study area increased from 2.7 °C in 1987 to 3.4 °C in 2015. Between an urban zone (>86% impervious) and a rural zone ( Numéro de notice : A2017-720 Affiliation des auteurs : non IGN Thématique : IMAGERIE Nature : Article nature-HAL : ArtAvecCL-RevueIntern DOI : 10.1016/j.isprsjprs.2017.09.008 En ligne : https://doi.org/10.1016/j.isprsjprs.2017.09.008 Format de la ressource électronique : URL article Permalink : https://documentation.ensg.eu/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=88405
