[Termes IGN] service clientRésumé : (auteur) 32 delegates from 9 countries attended the workshop. Participants came from a variety of organisations. These included mapping agencies as well as private surveying companies. There was a good spread from across Europe with others attending from as far as India.
The published first draft of the PPM guide defines PPM as a "Method of customer and supplier working together to ensure the customer requirements are met by the supplier’s processes in a relationship that fosters continual improvement for mutual benefit". The workshop created discussion and debate on applicability and scope of Production Partnership Management (PPM). The workshop agreed that although parties involved in the production of GI have different perspectives they all seek mutually beneficial outcomes. It was accepted that the benefits of Production Programme Management, illustrated by Ordnance Survey and her supplier’s experiences, can facilitate these outcomes. Using the feedback and support gathered at the workshop the PPM document will be redrafted as a document suitable for consideration by TC 211 for inclusion into the body of ISO documents supporting Geographic Information.Numéro de notice : 25396 Affiliation des auteurs : non IGN Autre URL associée : http://bono.hostireland.com/~eurosdr/km_pub/no54/html/Production_Partnership_Management/proceedings.htm Thématique : GEOMATIQUE Nature : Actes DOI : sans En ligne : http://bono.hostireland.com/~eurosdr/km_pub/no54/html/Production_Partnership_Man [...] Format de la ressource électronique : URL Permalink : https://documentation.ensg.eu/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=93674 Convergence analysis and quality criteria for an iterative schematization of networks / S. [Termes IGN] simplification de surfaceRésumé : (Auteur) Schematic networks are linear abstractions of functional networks, such as route networks. Lines in the original network are modified in order to produce a schematic network which satisfies a set of constraints chosen to design the network. A method is described which accomplishes this line transformation using an iterative improvement technique driven by design constraints. The method maintains topological characteristics of the network by the use of simple geometric operations and tests. The iterative process can be repeated until the line displacements become small enough or until it meets user denned stopping criteria. Experimental results are provided to examine the acceptability of outcomes and the convergence of the applied iterative technique. Criteria for measuring the quality of results, as well as for stopping the iterative approach are presented.
