[Termes IGN] risque naturelRésumé : (Auteur) Les avalanches constituent l'un des principaux aléas naturels pour les hommes et les activités humaines dans les pays alpins. La prédétermination de l'aléa avalancheux, en termes de probabilité d'occurrence et d'intensité, s'appuie sur des chroniques d'événements passés, souvent lacunaires et imprécises sur le plan spatial. La communication présente les principaux apports de la dendrogéomorphologie pour la détermination de la période de retour et la spatialisation de l'aléa. L'étude a été réalisée sur le dépôt boisé Pierres Jean Jeanne (Massif de l'Oisans, France). Un total de 232 mélèzes (Larix decidua Mill.) endommagés par les avalanches ont été échantillonnés et 901 perturbations de croissance ont été identifiées. Vingt événements avalancheux de forte intensité ont pu être reconstitués entre 1919 et 1994. La période de retour de l'aléa avalancheux a ainsi été évaluée en moyenne à 3 ans. La distance d'arrêt semble avoir peu variée au cours du temps, mais l'extension latérale est très hétérogène et les zones situées en dehors de l'emprise de la carte de localisation des phénomènes avalancheux sont fréquemment atteintes. Sur le plan temporel, la distribution décennale des événements avalancheux apparaît relativement homogène avec cependant des lacunes entre 1951-1961 et depuis 1994. [Termes IGN] programmation dynamiqueRésumé : (Auteur) The extraction of the third dimension from remote sensing data is a well known technique. Since in a number of countries aerial images and laser scanner data are unavailable, expensive or classified, stereoscopic high-resolution optical satellite images provide a viable alternative for generating digital surface and digital terrain models. Especially the automatic extraction of highly accurate 3D surface models in urban areas is still a very complicated task due to occlusions, large differences in height and the variety of objects and surface material. In this paper, an analysis and a visual and quantitative comparison of three different matching algorithms for generating urban DSMs based on very high-resolution satellite images is presented. The three algorithms are least squares matching (lsm) in a region growing fashion, dynamic programming (DP) and semiglobal matching (sgm). The characteristics of the three algorithms as applied to four different Ikonos stereo pairs with a ground sampling distance of 1 m are shown. The following results were obtained: visually, in the lsm results the shape of the buildings is considerably smoothed. While in the DP results the building shape is sharper, only little detail is visible on the building roofs, and streaking along the epipolar lines causes problems. With SGM, more details can be extracted and the results visually have the best quality. Based on reference data for the different test sites, the standard deviation of the building heights determined by LSM and DP is in the range of one pixel or slightly better, while it is in the range of half a pixel for SGM. [Termes IGN] système d'information géographiqueRésumé : (Auteur) L'objectif de cette étude est d'identifier les secteurs à potentialité aquifère en zone de socle du bassin versant du N'zi au centre de la Côte d'Ivoire, par l'entremise des données ETM+ de Landsat, de l'Analyse Multicritère et d'un SIC. Plusieurs données (images satellitaires, MNT, données de forages, hydro-climatique), permettent d'élaborer des données numériques spatiales conditionnant l'existence de réservoirs en milieu de socle. La combinaison de ceux-ci par la Méthode de Hiérarchie Multicritères de Saaty (1977) au sein d'un SIG aboutit à la production d'une information synthétique sur les secteurs à potentialité aquifère du bassin versant du N'zi. En effet, la carte validée réunit quatre classes de potentiel hydrogéologique. La classe Bonne (70%), se rencontre sur la quasi-totalité du bassin versant du N'zi, alors que les classes Médiocre (10%) et Mauvaise (2%) occupent quelques poches du territoire. La classe Excellente (18%) caractérise en majorité l'Est du bassin versant du N'zi. [Termes IGN] séismeRésumé : (Auteur) First order spirit levelling and high precision GPS measurements have been used to quantify local deformations caused mainly by postglacial rebound in the Charlevoix seismic zone, the region with the high-est concentrated seismic activity in eastern Canada. In this paper, part of the Canadian first order vertical network, measured from 1909 to 1991, is analyzed for repeating levelling lines. In addition, a part of a first order geodetic network along the Saint Lawrence River surveyed by GPS in 1991 and 2005, is processed. The coordinate changes of these geodetic points allows for the determination of horizontal and vertical velocities leading to information about the crustal deformation of this region. The results show a southeast drift trend in the horizontal, and general uplift trend in the vertical. These agree well with previous GPS surveys conducted on Canadian Base Network (CBN) pillars in eastern Canada and with geophysical postglacial rebound (PGR) models.
