[Termes IGN] variabilitéRésumé : (Auteur) This work is motivated by an application for the homogenization of global navigation satellite system (GNSS)-derived integrated water vapour series. Indeed, these series are affected by abrupt changes due to equipment changes or environmental effects. The detection and correction of the series from these changes are a crucial step before any use for climate studies. In addition to these abrupt changes, it has been observed in the series a non-stationary of the variability. We propose in this paper a new segmentation model that is a breakpoint detection in the mean model of a Gaussian process with heterogeneous variance on known time intervals. In this segmentation case, the dynamic programming algorithm used classically to infer the breakpoints cannot be applied anymore. We propose a procedure in two steps: we first estimate robustly the variances and then apply the classical inference by plugging these estimators. The performance of our proposed procedure is assessed through simulation experiments. An application to real GNSS data is presented. The pushbroom technology induces an inter-band acquisition delay leading to a parallax effect for the clouds. We propose a method exploiting this characteristic thanks to the analysis of the inter-band disparity. Several other features discriminating clouds are also defined and all are merged to build a robust a contrario statistical decision. Experiments applied on scenes acquired by various pushbroom satellites such as Sentinel-2, RapidEye and WorldView-2 show the effectiveness of the proposed method. In particular, we demonstrate a balanced accuracy rate close to 98% for cloud and non cloud classification for Sentinel-2 images. [Termes IGN] séismeRésumé : (Auteur) The relation between slip at the near surface and at depth during earthquakes is still not fully resolved at the moment. This deficiency leads to large uncertainties in the evaluation of the magnitude of past earthquakes based on surfaceobservations, which is the only accessible evidence for such events. A better knowledge of the way slip distributes over distinct rupture strands within the first few kilometers from the surface would contribute greatly to reduce these uncertainties. The 30 October 2016 Mw6.5 Norcia earthquake has been captured by a variety of geodetic techniques, which provide access to the slip distribution both at depth and at the ground surface, with an unprecedented level of detail for a normal-faulting earthquake. Wefirst present coseismic surface offset measurements from correlation of optical satellite imagesof sub-metric resolution, which are compared to field observations made shortly after the earthquake. Based on a joint inversion of optical data together withInSAR and GPS data, we then propose a rupture model that explains the observations both at far-field and near-field scales. Finally we explore different rupture geometriesat shallow depth, in an attempt to better explain the near-field deformation (i.e. within the first hundreds of meters around the fault)observed at the surface. Despite the fact that the solution is not unique, several lines of evidence suggest that gravity processes could be locally involved, which interfere with the dominant tectonic processes. [Termes IGN] utilisation du solRésumé : (auteur) Land use and land cover change (LULCC) has directly played an important role in the observed climate change. In this paper, we considered Dujiangyan City and its environs (DCEN) to study the future scenario in the years 2025, 2030, and 2040 based on the 2018 simulation results from 2007 and 2018 LULC maps. This study evaluates the spatial and temporal variations of future LULCC, including the future potential landscape risk (FPLR) area of the 2008 great (8.0 Mw) earthquake of south-west China. The Cellular automata–Markov chain (CA-Markov) model and multicriteria based analytical hierarchy process (MC-AHP) approach have been considered using the integration of remote sensing and GIS techniques. The analysis shows future LULC scenario in the years 2025, 2030, and 2040 along with the FPLR pattern. Based on the results of the future LULCC and FPLR scenarios, we have provided suggestions for the development in the close proximity of the fault lines for the future strong magnitude earthquakes. Our results suggest a better and safe planning approach in the Belt and Road Corridor (BRC) of China to control future Silk-Road Disaster, which will also be useful to urban planners for urban development in a safe and sustainable manner. [Termes IGN] Réunion, île de laRésumé : (Auteur) In the study described here, the capability of space-borne high-resolution L-band synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images (ALOS-2/PALSAR2 data in StripMap SM1 mode) for deriving and mapping two components of the deformation of slow landslides has been investigated. The deformation characterization was carried out on the basis of sub-pixel correlation offset tracking techniques and differential SAR interferometry. On the Hell-Bourg landslide (located on La Réunion Island, with displacements up to about 1 m/year), the deformation maps produced performed significantly better than the C-band or lower-resolution SAR data used in previous studies. A comparison was carried out with Global Navigation Satellite System data acquired on the test site. Even with a reduced image set (seven acquisitions), detailed deformation maps and information on deformation evolution during 2014–2016 could be generated. The combination of L-band data and high resolution was the source of the improved performance provided by this new kind of data.
