[Termes IGN] StrasbourgRésumé : (Auteur) L'utilisation de données à très haute résolution spatiale amène les utilisateurs à changer leurs habitudes en adoptant de nouvelles techniques de traitements. Le présent article évalue l'efficacité de l'analyse d'image orientée-objet pour la détection de bâtiments à partir d'une image à très haute résolution spatiale acquise sur la ville de Strasbourg et sa périphérie. A plus ou moins long terme, cette étude devra faciliter la détection de contours de bâtiments dans un couple d'images satellitaires en vue d'automatiser la chaîne de production de modèles tridimensionnels urbains, acquis actuellement par voie photogrammétrique. Les résultats obtenus dans cette étude sont très prometteurs. Si les contours n'ont pas pu être détectés de manière fiable à cette échelle, l'analyse orientée-objet permet tout du moins de détecter de façon semi-automatique l'existence ou non de bâtiments en zone urbaine de typologie diversifiée. [Termes IGN] télémétrie laser aéroportéRésumé : (Auteur) L'altimétrie laser fournit une représentation de la topographie terrestre (sol, constructions humaines et végétation) sous la forme d'un nuage de points 3D. La précision élevée de telles données, ainsi que la capacité intrinsèque de ces systèmes à pénétrer le couvert végétal, offre la possibilité d'extraire des informations structurelles de grande qualité sur la composition du paysage. Un nouvel algorithme a été mis au point dans le but de classer le nuage de points laser en composantes sol et sursol pour enfin estimer un Modèle Numérique de Terrain (MNT) au plus près des points laser classés sol. Notre approche est basée sur le parcours du nuage de points selon les plus grandes pentes. Des voisinages de points laser sont extraits dont le fort recouvrement (répétitivité du filtrage) fournira la redondance nécessaire à la classification finale du point. À partir de l'estimation de l'altitude du sol, les points du voisinage sont affectés à la classe sol ou sursol. L'altitude du sol est mise à jour de manière continue en fonction des nouveaux points appartenant à cette classe. Le sol ainsi calculé est ensuite propagé vers des voisins dont l'altitude est la plus faible. L'évolution du terrain est contrôlée par une fonction linéaire dépendant de cette altitude propagée et de la hauteur effectivement calculée. La forme définitive du terrain est enfin considérée comme la limite d'une suite de surfaces dont la forme est maîtrisée par une énergie dépendant des points classés sol ainsi que d'un terme de régularisation. La résolution finale du MNT peut être suffisamment fine pour effectuer une analyse précise des microreliefs en milieu rural. [Termes IGN] topologieRésumé : (Auteur) This work presents a novel methodology for fully automated road centerline extraction that exploits spectral content from high resolution multispectral images. Preliminary detection of candidate road centerline components is performed with Anti-parallel-edge Centerline Extraction (ACE). This is followed by constructing a road vector topology with a fuzzy grouping model that links nodes from a self-organized mapping of the ACE components. Following topology construction, a Self-Supervised Road Classification (SSRC) feedback loop is implemented to automate the process of training sample selection and refinement for a road class, as well as deriving practical spectral definitions for non-road classes. SSRC demonstrates a potential to provide dramatic improvement in road extraction results by exploiting spectral content. Road centerline extraction results are presented for three 1 m color infrared suburban scenes which show significant improvement following SSRC. [Termes IGN] requête spatialeRésumé : (Auteur) The user of a Geographical Information System is not limited to conventional spatial selections and joins, but may also pose more complicated and descriptive queries. In this paper, we focus on the efficient processing and optimization of complex spatial queries that involve combinations of spatial selections and joins. Our contribution is manifold; we first provide formulae that accurately estimate the selectivity of such queries. These formulae, paired with cost models for selections and joins can be used to combine spatial operators in an optimal way. Second, we propose algorithms that process spatial joins and selections simultaneously and are typically more efficient than combinations of simple operators. Finally we study the problem of optimizing complex spatial queries using these operators, by providing (i) cost models, and (ii) rules that reduce the optimization space significantly. The accuracy of the selectivity models and the efficiency of the proposed algorithms are evaluated through experimentation. [Termes IGN] triangulation de DelaunayRésumé : (Auteur) This paper presents a complete methodology for the reconstruction of a digital bathymetric model from a set of scattered data. Given a set of N scattered data representing the most significant points of a bathymetric surface that have been sampled in situ over a certain area or domain, the algorithms construct a triangulation of the domain using a minimal Euclidean distance criteria with the vertices of the triangulation and interpolated suface based on profiles obtained from the original scattered dataset. This bathymetric surface is obtained applying our methodology called "rational profiles" due to every profile being obtained from a grid which has been defined with a step as a relation of two integer numbers. The main contribution of this paper lies in two fields : the triangulation method and rational profile interpolation. We show an efficient algorithm based on a modified Delaunay triangulation called "Minimum Total Distance" (MTD), applicable locally or globally. We have also developed a new set of algorithms to generate a rational grid from the original large data set so as to produce the interpolation over the domain generating the final surface. By applying this methodology to many real samples, we have demonstrated that it is possible to achieve better running times with these new algorithms. This efficient realization of the algorithms uses adapted dynamic data structures and careful caching in an integrated framework.
