[Termes IGN] surveillanceRésumé : (auteur) The reverse engineering applications has gained great momentum in industrial production with developments in the fields of computer vision and computer-aided design (CAD). The reproduction of an existing product or a spare part, reproduction of an existing surface, elimination of the defect or improvement of the available product are the goals of industrial reverse engineering applications. The first and the most important step in reverse engineering applications is the generation of the three dimension! (3D) metric model of an existing product in computer environment. After this stage, many operations such as the preparation of molds for mass production, the performance testing, the comparison of the existing product with other products and prototypes which are available on the market are performed by using the generated 3D models. In reverse engineering applications, the laser scanner system or digital terrestrial photogrammetry methods, also called contactless method, are preferred for the generation of the 3D models. In particular, terrestrial photogrammetry has become a popular method since require only photographs for the 3-dimensional drawing, the generation of the dense point cloud using the image matching algorithms and the orthoimage generation as well as its low cost. ln this paper, an industrial application of 3D information modelling is presented which concerns the measurement and 3D metric modelling of the ship mode!. The possible usage of terrestrial photogrammetty in reverse engineering application is investigated based on low cost photogrammetric system. The main aim was the generation of the dense point cloud and 3D line drawing of the ship model by using terrestrial photogrammetty, for the production of the ship in real size as a reverse engineering application. For this purpose, the images were recorded with digital SLR camera and orientations have been performed. Then 3D line drawing operations, point cloud and orthoimage generation have been accomplished by using PhotoModeler software. As a result of the proposed terrestrial photogrammetric steps, 0.5 mm spaced dense point cloud and orthoimage have been generated The obtained results from experimental study were discussed and possible use of proposed methods was evaluated for reverse engineering application. [Termes IGN] visualisation 3DRésumé : (Auteur) Recent technological advancements in web-based geographic information systems have enabled access to satellite images on smart devices. The Representational State Transfer (REST) architecture overcomes difficulties that are associated with conventional data communications on the web, and the Web Graphics Library (WebGL) can be used as an alternative to web-based three-dimensional geographic visualization (3-D geovisualization) due to its efficient image processing capabilities. This paper describes a 3-D geovisualization system that was developed for satellite images on smart devices by integrating a spatial database management system (DBMS), a RESTful application programming interface (API), and WebGL. Spatiotemporal objects were constructed for time-series satellite images within a DBMS and a RESTful API was built for spatiotemporal queries to the time-series database so that the requested satellite data could be represented in 3-D on smart devices using WebGL. Satellite images that are represented in WebGL give a more realistic 3-D experience when they are combined with terrain data and provide for intuitive observations of the relationships between pixel values and associated geospatial conditions. This paper shows that a creative combination of existing technologies can be used to enhance and display satellite images on smart devices for 3-D geovisualization. [Termes IGN] translationRésumé : (Auteur) Three-dimensional (3D) feature-matching techniques, which are essential for progress towards an automated feature-based procedure, have attracted considerable research attention in both the photogrammetry and computer vision communities. This study introduces a novel matching approach, called RSTG, that comprises four major phases: rotation alignment; scale estimation; translation alignment; and geometry checks. These steps efficiently determine a feature-based correspondence and frame transformation between datasets. RSTG analyses the similarity and relative geometry of features by employing feature observations and their uncertainty; this allows different types of features to be matched exclusively or simultaneously. This study validates the proposed method with both simulated and real datasets, demonstrating its effectiveness with satisfactory matching rates in a diverse range of feature-based point cloud registration tasks.
