[Termes IGN] trafic routierRésumé : (Auteur) In a traffic-aware route search (TARS), the user provides start and target locations and sets of search terms. The goal is to find the fastest route from the start location to the target via geographic entities (points of interest) that correspond to the search terms, while taking into account variations in the travel speed due to changes in traffic conditions, and the possibility that some visited entities will not satisfy the search requirements. A TARS query may include temporal constraints and order constraints that restrict the order by which entities are visited. Since TARS generalizes the Traveling-Salesperson Problem, it is an NP-hard problem. Thus, it is unlikely to find a polynomial-time algorithm for evaluating TARS queries. Hence, we present in this paper three heuristics to answer TARS queries--a local greedy approach, a global greedy approach and an algorithm that computes a linear approximation to the travel speeds, formulates the problem as a Mixed Integer Linear Programming (MILP) problem and uses a solver to find a solution. We provide an experimental evaluation based on actual traffic data and show that using a MILP solver to find a solution is effective and can be done within a limited running time in many real-life scenarios. The local-greedy approach is the least effective in finding a fast route, however, it has the best running time and it is the most scalable. [Termes IGN] voxelRésumé : (Auteur)Water vapor tomography has been developed as a powerful tool to model spatial and temporal distribution of atmospheric water vapor. Global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) water vapor tomography refers to the 3D structural construction of tropospheric water vapor using a large number of GNSS signals that penetrate the tomographic modeling area from different positions. The modeling area is usually discretized into a number of voxels. A major issue involved is that some voxels are not crossed by any GNSS signal rays, resulting in an undetermined solution to the tomographic system. To alleviate this problem, the number of voxels crossed by GNSS signal rays should be as large as possible. An important way to achieve this is to optimize the geographic distribution of tomographic voxels. We propose an approach to optimize voxel distribution in both vertical and horizontal domains. In the vertical domain, water vapor profiles derived from radiosonde data are exploited to identify the maximum height of tomography and the optimal vertical resolution. In the horizontal domain, the optimal horizontal distribution of voxels is obtained by searching the maximum number of ray-crossing voxels in both latitude and longitude directions. The water vapor tomography optimization procedures are implemented using GPS water vapor data from the Hong Kong Satellite Positioning Reference Station Network. The tomographic water vapor fields solved from the optimized tomographic voxels are evaluated using radiosonde data and a numerical weather prediction non-hydrostatic model (NHM) obtained for the Hong Kong station. The comparisons of tomographic integrated water vapor (IWV) with the radiosonde and NHM IWV show that RMS errors of their differences are 1.41 and 3.09 mm, respectively. Moreover, the tomographic water vapor density results are compared with those of radiosonde and NHM. The RMS error of the density differences between tomography and radiosonde data is 1.05 g/m3 . For the comparison between tomography and NHM, an overall RMS error of 1.43g/m3 is achieved. [Termes IGN] système d'information géographiqueRésumé : (Auteur) The popularization of tracking devices, such as GPS, accelerometers and smartphones, have made it possible to detect, record, and analyze new patterns of human movement and behavior. However, employing GPS alone for indoor localization is not always possible due to the system's inability to determine location inside buildings or in places of signal occlusion. In this context, the application of local wireless networks for determining position is a promising alternative solution, although they still suffer from a number of limitations due to energy and IT-resources. Our research outlines the potential for employing indoor wireless network positioning and sensor-based systems to improve the collection of tracking data indoors. By applying various methods of GIScience, we developed a methodology that can be applicable for diverse human indoor mobility analysis. To show the advantage of the proposed method, we present the result of an experiment that included mobility analysis of 37 participants. We tracked their movements on a university campus over the course of 41 days and demonstrated that their movement behavior can be successfully studied with our proposed method.
