[Termes IGN] résolution d'ambiguïtéRésumé : (auteur) PPP-RTK is integer ambiguity resolution-enabled precise point positioning. In this contribution, we present the principles of PPP-RTK, together with a review of different mechanizations that have been proposed in the literature. By application of S-system theory, the estimable parameters of the different methods are identified and compared. Their interpretation is essential for gaining a proper insight into PPP-RTK in general, and into the role of the PPP-RTK corrections in particular. We show that PPP-RTK is a relative technique for which the ‘single-receiver user’ integer ambiguities are in fact double-differenced ambiguities. We determine the transformational links between the different methods and their PPP-RTK corrections, thereby showing how different PPP-RTK methods can be mixed between network and users. We also present and discuss four different estimators of the PPP-RTK corrections. It is shown how they apply to the different PPP-RTK models, as well as why some of the proposed estimation methods cannot be accepted as PPP-RTK proper. We determine analytical expressions for the variance matrices of the ambiguity-fixed and ambiguity-float PPP-RTK corrections. This gives important insight into their precision, as well as allows us to discuss which parts of the PPP-RTK correction variance matrix are essential for the user and which are not. [Termes IGN] SISARRésumé : (auteur) In this manuscript, we analyze the potentialities of the radargrammetric DSMs generation using high resolution SAR imagery acquired by three different platforms (COSMO-SkyMed, TerraSAR-X and RADARSAT-2), with particular attention to geometric orientation models. Two orientation models are considered and compared: Toutin’s model (Canada Center for Remote Sensing), implemented in the commercial software package PCI-Geomatica and based on Ground Control Points (GCPs), and the radargrammetric model implemented in the scientific software SISAR (University of Rome La Sapienza), based on images metadata orbital information only. Moreover, a comparison between the DSMs following the image matching approaches implemented in PCI-Geomatica and SISAR has been performed. The analysis has been carried out over Beauport test site (Quebec, Canada), where three overlapping stereopairs, one for each of the mentioned platform, were acquired and a LiDAR ground truth and a dense set of GNSS Check points (CPs) are available. The presented results appear promising: DSMs accuracy are within 4 and 5 m for all sensors, independently from orientation model (with or without GCP) and image matching approach, provided good relative orientation is guaranteed, what mainly attains to the quality of metadata orbital information. [Termes IGN] UltraCamRésumé : (auteur) This research assumes lidar as a reference dataset against which in-flight camera system calibration and validation can be performed. The methodology utilises a robust least squares surface matching algorithm to align a dense network of photogrammetric points to the lidar reference surface, allowing for the automatic extraction of so-called lidar control points (LCPs). Adjustment of the photogrammetric data is then repeated using the extracted LCPs in a self-calibrating bundle adjustment with additional parameters. This methodology was tested using two different photogrammetric datasets, a Microsoft UltraCamX large format camera and an Applanix DSS322 medium format camera. Systematic sensitivity testing explored the influence of the number and weighting of LCPs. For both camera blocks it was found that when the number of control points increase, the accuracy improves regardless of point weighting. The calibration results were compared with those obtained using ground control points, with good agreement found between the two. [Termes IGN] séismeRésumé : (auteur) Image correlation is one of the most efficient techniques to determine horizontal ground displacements due to earthquakes, landslides, ice flows or sand dune migrations. Analyzing these deformations allows a better understanding of the causes and mechanisms of the events. By using sub-pixel correlation on before- and after-event ortho-images obtained from high resolution satellite images it is possible to compute the displacement field with high planimetric resolution. In this paper, we focus on measuring the ground displacements due to seismotectonic events. The three sub-pixel correlators used are: COSI-Corr – developed by Caltech, a free, closed-source correlator, dependent on commercial software (ENVI) and widely used by the geoscience community for measuring ground displacement; Medicis – developed by CNES, also a closed-source correlator capable of measuring this type of deformation; and MicMac – developed by IGN, the free open-source correlator we study and tune for measuring fine ground displacements. We measured horizontal ground deformation using these three correlators on SPOT images in three study cases: the 2001 Kokoxili earthquake, the 2005 dyke intrusion in the Afar depression and the 2008 Yutian earthquake.
