[Termes IGN] image hyperspectraleRésumé : (Auteur) A novel superpixel-based discriminative sparse model (SBDSM) for spectral-spatial classification of hyperspectral images (HSIs) is proposed. Here, a superpixel in a HSI is considered as a small spatial region whose size and shape can be adaptively adjusted for different spatial structures. In the proposed approach, the SBDSM first clusters the HSI into many superpixels using an efficient oversegmentation method. Then, pixels within each superpixel are jointly represented by a set of common atoms from a dictionary via a joint sparse regularization. The recovered sparse coefficients are utilized to determine the class label of the superpixel. In addition, instead of directly using a large number of sampled pixels as dictionary atoms, the SBDSM applies a discriminative K-SVD learning algorithm to simultaneously train a compact representation dictionary, as well as a discriminative classifier. Furthermore, by utilizing the class label information of training pixels and dictionary atoms, a class-labeled orthogonal matching pursuit is proposed to accelerate the K-SVD algorithm while still enforcing high discriminability on sparse coefficients when training the classifier. Experimental results on four real HSI datasets demonstrate the superiority of the proposed SBDSM algorithm over several well-known classification approaches in terms of both classification accuracies and computational speed. [Termes IGN] OpenStreetMapRésumé : (auteur) OpenStreetMap (OSM) constitutes an unprecedented, free, geographical information source contributed by millions of individuals, resulting in a database of great volume and heterogeneity. In this study, we characterize the heterogeneity of the entire OSM database and historical archive in the context of big data. We consider all users, geographic elements and user contributions from an eight-year data archive, at a size of 692 GB. We rely on some nonlinear methods such as power law statistics and head/tail breaks to uncover and illustrate the underlying scaling properties. All three aspects (users, elements, and contributions) demonstrate striking power laws or heavy-tailed distributions. The heavy-tailed distributions imply that there are far more small elements than large ones, far more inactive users than active ones, and far more lightly edited elements than heavy-edited ones. Furthermore, about 500 users in the core group of the OSM are highly networked in terms of collaboration. [Termes IGN] utilisation du solRésumé : (Auteur) During the last two decades, a variety of models have been applied to understand and predict changes in land use. These models assign a single-attribute label to each spatial unit at any particular time of the simulation. This is not realistic because mixed use of land is quite common. A more detailed classification allowing the modelling of mixed land use would be desirable for better understanding and interpreting the evolution of the use of land. A possible solution is the multi-label (ML) concept where each spatial unit can belong to multiple classes simultaneously. For example, a cluster of summer houses at a lake in a forested area should be classified as water, forest and residential (built-up). The ML concept was introduced recently, and it belongs to the machine learning field. In this article, the ML concept is introduced and applied in land-use modelling. As a novelty, we present a land-use change model that allows ML class assignment using the k nearest neighbour (kNN) method that derives a functional relationship between land use and a set of explanatory variables. A case study with a rich data-set from Luxembourg using biophysical data from aerial photography is described. The model achieves promising results based on the well-known ML evaluation criteria. The application described in this article highlights the value of the multi-label k nearest neighbour method (MLkNN) for land-use modelling. [Termes IGN] visualisation simultanéeRésumé : (Auteur) Recently, points of interest (POIs) recommendation has evolved into a hot research topic with real-world applications. In this paper, we propose a novel semantics-enhanced density-based clustering algorithm SEM-DTBJ-Cluster, to extract semantic POIs from GPS trajectories. We then take into account three different factors (popularity, temporal and geographical features) that can influence the recommendation score of a POI. We characterize the impacts caused by popularity, temporal and geographical information, by using different scoring functions based on three developed recommendation models. Finally, we combine the three scoring functions together and obtain a unified framework PTG-Recommend for recommending candidate POIs for a mobile user. To the best of our knowledge, this work is the first that considers popularity, temporal and geographical information together. Experimental results on two real-world data sets strongly demonstrate that our framework is robust and effective, and outperforms the baseline recommendation methods in terms of precision and recall.
