[Termes IGN] validation des donnéesRésumé : (Auteur) The Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer (ASTER) system acquires multispectral images ranging from the visible to thermal infrared region. The ASTER system consists of three subsystems: visible and near-infrared (VNIR), short-wave infrared (SWIR) and thermal infrared (TIR) radiometers. The VNIR subsystem has a backward-viewing telescope as well as a nadir one. To deliver data products of high quality from the viewpoint of geolocation and hand-to-hand registration performance, a fundamental program, called Level-1 data processing, has been developed for images obtained using four telescopes with a cross-track pointing function. In this work, the methodology of the geometric validation is first described. Next, the image quality of ASTER data products is evaluated in view of the geometric performance over a period of four years. The hand-to-hand registration accuracy in the subsystem is better than 0.1 pixels and that between subsystems is better than 0.2 pixels. This means that the geometric database is determined accurately and the image matching method based on a cross-correlation function is effective in the operational usage. [Termes IGN] transfert radiatifRésumé : (Auteur) The Compact High Resolution Imaging Spectrometer (CHRIS) onboard the Project for On-Board Autonomy (PROBA) platform system provides the first high spatial resolution hyperspectral/multiangular remote sensing data from a satellite system, what represents a new source of information for Earth Observation purposes. A fully consistent radiative transfer approach is always preferred when dealing with the retrieval of surface reflectance from hyperspectral/multiangular data. However, due to the reported calibration anomalies for CHRIS data, a direct atmospheric correction based on physical radiative transfer modeling is not possible, and the method must somehow compensate for such calibration problems in specific wavelength ranges. A dedicated atmospheric correction algorithm for PROBA/CHRIS data over land is presented in this work. It consists in the combination of radiative transfer and empirical line approaches to atmospheric correction, in order to retrieve surface reflectance images free from both the atmospheric distortion and artifacts due to miscalibration. The atmospheric optical parameters and the updated set of calibration coefficients are obtained jointly in an autonomous process, without the need for any ancillary data. Results from the application of the algorithm to PROBA/CHRIS data from the two European Space Agency SPectra bARrax Campaign (SPARC) held at the Barrax study site (La Mancha, Spain) in 2003 and 2004 are presented in this work, focusing on the validation of the final surface reflectance using in situ measurements acquired simultaneously to PROBA overpasses. [Termes IGN] traitement de données GNSSRésumé : (Auteur) Depuis les années 80 et la mise en place du système GPS, les recherches dans le domaine du radiopositionnement par méthodes GNSS n'ont cessé de s'étendre et il est aujourd'hui possible de se positionner en temps réel avec une précision centimétrique de manière totalement transparente en traitant les données d'observation en réseau, afin de résoudre de manière satisfaisante la majorité des problèmes rencontrés en mode RTX. D'une manière générale, il s'agit de modéliser les erreurs spatialement corrélées (ionosphère, troposphère et éphémérides) sur chaque station avant de mettre en place des modèles de propagation en réseau (plans, polynômes ou modèles d'interpolation plus ou moins complexes) et de diffuser les données nécessaires aux utilisateurs (corrections et/ou observations) pour qu'ils puissent se positionner par double différence avec la précision escomptée suivant diverses approches. L'enjeu est de taille puisqu'il s'agit, au moment où plusieurs réseaux sont en passe de couvrir le territoire (ORPHEON, TERIA, etc.), de démocratiser l'utilisation de l'information géographique en favorisant son accès. [Termes IGN] teneur en eau liquideRésumé : (Auteur) L'objectif de cet article est de présenter une nouvelle méthode pour déterminer les caractéristiques de la neige humide en contexte de haute montagne alpine. Nous exposons ici la méthodologie et les premiers résultats obtenus en polarisation alternée avec un jeu d'images ASAR-ENVISAT acquises au printemps 2004 sur un bassin versant expérimental des Alpes françaises. En raison des fortes contraintes dues aux effets de relief sur la radiométrie et la géométrie d'acquisition, les données satellitales ont été corrigées à l'aide d'un Modèle Numérique de Terrain (MNT), permettant ensuite de calculer les angles locaux d'incidence. Des mesures terrain ont été effectuées simultanément aux acquisitions radar pour caractériser les propriétés de la neige (stratigraphie et caractéristiques complètes de chaque couche). Nous avons réalisé un essai d'application d'un modèle de rétrodiffusion radar pour tenter d'estimer les conditions optimales de détection de la Teneur en Eau Liquide (TEL) de la neige. Il s'agit d'un modèle de neige monocouche correspondant aux conditions de surface lors des acquisitions radar. Trois images hivernales sont comparées au modèle pour les polarisations VV et VH.
