[Termes IGN] TurquieRésumé : (auteur) Stone Pine (Pinus pinea L.) is currently the pine species with the highest commercial value with edible seeds. In this respect, this study introduces a new methodology for extracting Stone Pine trees from Digital Surface Models (DSMs) generated through an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) mission. We developed a novel enhanced probability map of local maxima that facilitates the computation of the orientation symmetry by means of new probabilistic local minima information. Four test sites are used to evaluate our automated framework within one of the most important Stone Pine forest areas in Antalya, Turkey. A Hand-held Mobile Laser Scanner (HMLS) was utilized to collect the reference point cloud dataset. Our findings confirm that the proposed methodology, which uses a single DSM as an input, secures overall pixel-based and object-based F1-scores of 88.3% and 97.7%, respectively. The overall median Euclidean distance revealed between the automatically extracted stem locations and the manually extracted ones is computed to be 36 cm (less than 4 pixels), demonstrating the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed methodology. Finally, the comparison with the state-of-the-art reveals that the outcomes of the proposed methodology outperform the results of six previous studies in this context. [Termes IGN] TurquieRésumé : (auteur) Population density is important spatial information for addressing the use and access to land resources in cities under the Sustainable Development Goals. This is because the spatial data support appropriate spatial policies at the spatial scale and predicts how much land will be consumed in the future. The study aims to compare and evaluate the regression tools in the context of estimating the population density difference. The three analysis tools used are Random Forest-Based Classification, Multiple Linear Regression, and Geographically Weighted Regression. The sampling area covers cities around Türkiye. Comparative results showed that the two most important descriptive variables in the Random Forest-Based Classification model are the density difference of the new developed area and the connectivity. The three main explanatory variables of the Multiple Linear Regression model are centrality, vehicle ownership, and accessibility. The results of the Multiple Linear Regression model (a non-spatial model) and the Geographically Weighted Regression model (a spatial model), were found to be quite similar. The importance of accessibility and connectivity is more evident in the Multiple Linear Regression model when the Random Forest-Based Classification model highlights the density values in the new development areas. [Termes IGN] TurquieRésumé : (auteur) This study aimed to compare a handheld mobile laser scanning (HMLS), called TORCH that uses the SLAM algorithm, and a PPK-integrated close-range terrestrial photogrammetry (CRTP) to measure forest road surface deformation. The PPK-integrated CRTP includes a multiband GNSS-module and a camera mounted on a 5-m prism pole. 3D point-clouds were gathered/produced at three different dates with approximately 3-month intervals. And then road surface deformations were determined by applying the M3C2 algorithm. Each method was compared by considering some advantages and disadvantages. PPK-integrated CRTP, which could only be used in areas where the GPS signal is not blocked, provided highly denser 3D point clouds than HMLS. However, for the first period, the difference of mean deformation values between the two methods was not statistically significant, whereas it was statistically significant for the second period. Both methods can be suggested to use in forest road surface deformation yet considering their limitations. [Termes IGN] TurquieRésumé : (auteur) In Turkey, during the realisation of the land registry and cadastre transactions, manually checking the official documents exceeding 20 million annually causes some problems in document management and security. This study focuses on managing the official documents as online requested by the land registry and cadastre directorates from the other institutions during these transactions. Therefore, a general external data model based on the LADM has been proposed to manage requested documents during transactions. If web-based applications support the proposed model, access to documents will be faster and easier, and security risk will be reduced. [Vedettes matières IGN] GénéralisationRésumé : (auteur) Road curve attributes can be determined by using Geographic Information System (GIS) to be used in road vehicle traffic safety and planning studies. This study involves analyzing the GIS-based estimation accuracy in the length, radius and the number of small horizontal road curves on a two-lane rural road and a forest road. The prediction success of horizontal curve attributes was investigated using digitized raw and generalized/simplified road segments. Two different roads were examined, involving 20 test groups and two control groups, using 22 datasets obtained from digitized and surveyed roads based on satellite imagery, GIS estimates, and field measurements. Confusion matrix tables were also used to evaluate the prediction accuracy of horizontal curve geometry. F-score, Mathews Correlation Coefficient, Bookmaker Informedness and Balanced Accuracy were used to investigate the performance of test groups. The Kruskal–Wallis test was used to analyze the statistical relationships between the data. Compared to the Bezier generalization algorithm, the Douglas–Peucker algorithm showed the most accurate horizontal curve predictions at generalization tolerances of 0.8 m and 1 m. The results show that the generalization tolerance level contributes to the prediction accuracy of the number, curve radius, and length of the horizontal curves, which vary with the tolerance value. Thus, this study underlined the importance of calculating generalizations and tolerances following a manual road digitization.
