[Termes IGN] tachéomètre électroniqueRésumé : (auteur) This article examines advances in interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR) satellite measurement technologies to understand their relevance, utilization, and limitations for bridge monitoring. Waterloo Bridge is presented as a case study to explore how InSAR data sets can be combined with traditional measurement techniques including sensors installed on the bridge and automated total stations. A novel approach to InSAR bridge monitoring was adopted by the installation of physical reflectors at key points of structural interest on the bridge, in order to supplement the bridge’s own reflection characteristics and ensure that the InSAR measurements could be directly compared and combined with in situ measurements. The interpretation and integration of InSAR data sets with civil infrastructure data are more than a trivial task, and a discussion of uncertainty of measurement data is presented. Finally, a strategy for combining and interpreting varied data from multiple sources to provide useful insights into each of these methods is presented, outlining the practical applications of this data analysis to support wider monitoring strategies. The objectives of the research work were to identify best vegetation index and multivariate model based on canopy reflectance and LAI measured at different growth stages of wheat. Comparison of existing indices revealed optimized soil-adjusted vegetation index (OSAVI) as the best index based on R2 of calibration, validation and root mean square error of validation. Proposed ratio index (RI; R670, R845) and normalized difference index (NDI; R670, R845) provided comparable performance with the existing vegetation indices (R2 = 0.65 and 0.62 for RI and NDI, respectively, during validation). Among the multivariate models, partial least squares regression (PLSR) model with Hyperion band configuration performed the best during validation (R2 = 0.80 and RMSE = 0.58 m2 m−2). Our results manifested the opportunities for developing biophysical products based on satellite sensors. [Termes IGN] temps réelRésumé : (auteur) High-quality satellite orbits and clocks are necessary for multi-GNSS precise point positioning and timing. In undifferenced GNSS solutions, the quality of orbit and clock products significantly influences the resulting position accuracy; therefore, for precise positioning in real time, the corrections for orbits and clocks are generated and distributed to users. In this research, we assess the quality and the availability of real-time CNES orbits and clocks for GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou-2 separated by satellite blocks and types, as well as the product quality changes over time. We calculate the signal-in-space ranging error (SISRE) as the main orbit and clock quality indicator. Moreover, we employ independent orbit validation based on satellite laser ranging. We found that the most accurate orbits are currently available for GPS. However, Galileo utmost stable atomic clocks compensate for systematic errors in Galileo orbits. As a result, the SISRE for Galileo is lower than that for GPS, equaling 1.6 and 2.3 cm for Galileo and GPS, respectively. The GLONASS satellites, despite the high quality of their orbits, are characterized by poor quality of clocks, and together with BeiDou-2 in medium and geosynchronous inclined orbits, are characterized by SISRE of 4–6 cm. BeiDou-2 in geostationary orbits is characterized by large orbital errors and the lowest availability of real-time orbit and clock corrections due to a large number of satellite maneuvers. The quality of GNSS orbit and clock corrections changes over time and depends on satellite type, block, orbit characteristics, onboard atomic clock, and the sun elevation above the orbital plane. [Termes IGN] R (langage)Résumé : (Auteur) The objective of this article is to evaluate the performance of three pan‐sharpening algorithms (high‐pass filter, principal component analysis and Gram–Schmidt) to increase the spatial resolution of five types of multispectral images and to evaluate the results in terms of color, coherence and spatial sharpness, both qualitatively and quantitatively. A secondary objective is to present an implementation of the aforementioned pan‐sharpening techniques within the open source software R. From a qualitative point of view, pan‐sharpening of images with a high spatial resolution ratio give better results than those whose spatial resolution ratio is 2. According to the quantitative evaluation, there is no pan‐sharpening methodology that obtains optimal results simultaneously for all types of images used. The results of the spectral and spatial ERGAS index vary for four out of the five types of images analyzed. The results show that none of the methods implemented in this work can be considered a priori better than the others. At the same time, this work indicates the importance of both qualitative and quantitative assessment. [Termes IGN] station GPSRésumé : (auteur) The precise orbit determination (POD) of Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) satellites and low Earth orbiters (LEOs) are usually performed independently. It is a potential way to improve the GNSS orbits by integrating LEOs onboard observations into the processing, especially for the developing GNSS, e.g., Galileo with a sparse sensor station network and Beidou with a regional distributed operating network. In recent years, few studies combined the processing of ground- and space-based GNSS observations. The integrated POD of GPS satellites and seven LEOs, including GRACE-A/B, OSTM/Jason-2, Jason-3 and, Swarm-A/B/C, is discussed in this study. GPS code and phase observations obtained by onboard GPS receivers of LEOs and ground-based receivers of the International GNSS Service (IGS) tracking network are used together in one least-squares adjustment. The POD solutions of the integrated processing with different subsets of LEOs and ground stations are analyzed in detail. The derived GPS satellite orbits are validated by comparing with the official IGS products and internal comparison based on the differences of overlapping orbits and satellite positions at the day-boundary epoch. The differences between the GPS satellite orbits derived based on a 26-station network and the official IGS products decrease from 37.5 to 23.9 mm (34% improvement) in 1D-mean RMS when adding seven LEOs. Both the number of the space-based observations and the LEO orbit geometry affect the GPS satellite orbits derived in the integrated processing. In this study, the latter one is proved to be more critical. By including three LEOs in three different orbital planes, the GPS satellite orbits improve more than from adding seven well-selected additional stations to the network. Experiments with a ten-station and regional network show an improvement of the GPS satellite orbits from about 25 cm to less than five centimeters in 1D-mean RMS after integrating the seven LEOs.
