[Termes IGN] zone à risqueRésumé : (auteur) Flood is a common global natural hazard, and detailed flood susceptibility maps for specific watersheds are important for flood management measures. We compute the flood susceptibility map for the Kaiser watershed in Iran using machine learning models such as support vector machine (SVM), Particle swarm optimization (PSO), and genetic algorithm (GA) along with ensembles (PSO-GA and SVM-GA). The application of such machine learning models in flood susceptibility assessment and mapping is analyzed, and future research suggestions are presented. The model of flood susceptibility model was constructed based on fifteen causatives: slope, slope aspect, elevation, plan curvature, land use, and land cover, normalize differences vegetation index (NDVI), convergence index (CI), topographical wetness index (TWI), topographic positioning Index (TPI), drainage density (DD), distance to stream, terrain ruggedness index (TRI), terrain surface texture (TST), geology and stream power index (SPI) and flood inventory data which later is divided by 70% for training the model and 30% for validated the model. The model output was evaluated through sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, precision, Cohen Kappa, F-score, and receiver operating curve (ROC). The evaluation of flood susceptibility mapping through the receiver operating curve method along with flood density shows robust results from support vector machine (0.839), particle swarm optimization (0.851), genetic algorithm (0.874), SVM-GA (0.886), and PSO-GA (0.902). Compared have done with some methods commonly used in this susceptibility assessment. A high-quality, informative database is essential for the classification of flood types in flood susceptibility mapping that is very important and helpful to improve the model performances. The performance of the ensemble PSO-GA is better than that of the machine learning model, yielding a high degree of accuracy (AUC-0.902%). Our approach, therefore, provides a novel method for flood susceptibility studies in other watersheds. [Vedettes matières IGN] Ecologie forestièreRésumé : (auteur) Forest restoration has become one of the most important challenges for restoration ecology in the recent years. In this regard, soil fungi are fundamental drivers of forest ecosystem processes, with significant implications for plant growth and survival. However, the post-disturbance recovery of belowground communities has been rarely assessed, especially in highly degraded systems such as mines. Our aim was to compare forests and mined systems for biomass and structure of fungal communities in soil during early stages of tree establishment after disturbance. We performed ergosterol analysis and PacBio and Illumina sequencing of internal transcribed spacer 2 amplicons across soil layers in P. sylvestris, Q. robur and Q. ilex (holm oak) forests and naturally revegetated mined sites. In pine forests, total fungal biomass was significantly higher in litter and humus compared to mineral layers, with dominance of the mycorrhizal genera Tomentella, Inocybe and Tricholoma. Conversely, in oak forests the most abundant mycorrhizal genera were Tomentella, Cortinarius and Sebacina, but the biomass of saprotrophic fungi was greater in the litter layer compared to mycorrhizal fungi, with the genus Preussia being the most abundant. In the revegetated mined sites, ectomycorrhizal fungi dominated in the humus and mineral layers, with the mycorrhizal genus Oidiodendron being dominant. In contrast, in holm oak forests saprotrophic fungi dominated both soil humus and mineral layers, with the genera of Alternaria, Bovista and Mycena dominating the soil humus forest layer, while the genus Cadophora dominated the mineral layer. The habitat-specific differences in soil fungal community composition and putative functions suggest that an understanding of soil–plant–microbial interactions for different tree species and use of specific soil/litter inoculum upon planting/seeding might help to increase the effectiveness of tree restoration strategies in Mediterranean degraded sites. [Termes IGN] traitement du langage naturelRésumé : (auteur) Natural language descriptions of geographical locations are used frequently in daily life and there is a motivation to create systems that generate such descriptions automatically, for purposes such as documentation of where events have taken place, where a person is located, where photos were taken and where plants and animals are located. Typically location descriptions combine references to named geographical features with vague spatial relational terms, such as near, north of and at that relate locations to the features. Here we describe a system for generating location descriptions, that combines spatial templates, that model the applicability of different spatial relations relative to a reference location, with toponyms in the vicinity of the described location that are selected according to aspects of salience. The toponyms are retrieved from a gazetteer service based on OpenStreetMap for which we create a hierarchical feature classification scheme to facilitate selection of toponyms according to distinctiveness of their feature types and other aspects of salience. The advantages of the approach are demonstrated in a user study, relative to an existing state of the art system and to other baseline approaches that include manually created captions and the automated methods of two widely used photo captioning systems. [Termes IGN] standardRésumé : (auteur) Accessibility to tactile maps is limited due to their expensive and time-consuming development. Acceleration of their production requires standardized design guidelines that consider symbol design and production methods. In this paper, based on a review of research and best practice, we summarize knowledge on how to design tactile maps properly and provide a selection of highly legible, recommended symbols for the compilation of tactile maps. We also examine generalization constraints and other design parameters that are necessary for the standardization of tactile mapping. Finally, we explore differences in tactile map design depending upon the selected production method. Over the years, many useful guidelines have been developed although they remain unknown to the wider audience. There is still a long way to go in creating a global standard for the design of tactile maps. Note de contenu : Introduction
