[Termes IGN] visualisationRésumé : (Auteur) The 3D cadastre concept brings data models, which are more complex than traditional 2D cadastral data models and could be followed by a large amount of data. The 3D cadastral data should be stored in database management systems, since the cadastral data integrity and consistency have to be satisfied. Relational database management system requires a tabular structure where data are stored within predefined columns and data types, and this could be uncomfortable for 3D cadastre until relational provides full 3D support. This study examines the possibility of using NoSQL databases in the 3D cadastre domain. NoSQL database stores unstructured data, which means that it is not required to define in advance what data types and categories will be used. From the 3D cadastre point of view, the NoSQL approach provides flexibility in data types and allows easier implementation of the 3D cadastral models. The implementation is conducted by using MongoDB and 3D Cadastral Data Model, where 3D cadastral data, including both alphanumerical and geometry part of data, are prepared for importing and then stored, managed, queried, and updated within NoSQL database. Furthermore, data stored in MongoDB are visualized and queried inside a web browser by using Cesium library. [Termes IGN] visualisation dynamiqueRésumé : (auteur) The Hazard Exposure Reporting and Analytics (HERA) dynamic web application was created to provide a platform that makes research on community exposure to coastal-flooding hazards influenced by sea level rise accessible to planners, decision makers, and the public in a manner that is both easy to use and easily accessible. HERA allows users to (a) choose flood-hazard scenarios based on sea level rise and storm assumptions, (b) appreciate the modeling uncertainty behind a chosen hazard zone, (c) select one or several communities to examine exposure, (d) select the category of population or societal asset, and (e) choose how to look at results. The application is designed to highlight comparisons between (a) varying levels of sea level rise and coastal storms, (b) communities, (c) societal asset categories, and (d) spatial scales. Through a combination of spatial and graphical visualizations, HERA aims to help individuals and organizations to craft more informed mitigation and adaptation strategies for climate-driven coastal hazards. This paper summarizes the technologies used to maximize the user experience, in terms of interface design, visualization approaches, and data processing. [Termes IGN] web des donnéesRésumé : (Auteur) Gazetteers are instrumental in recognizing place names in documents such as Web pages, news, and social media messages. However, creating and maintaining gazetteers is still a complex task. Even though some online gazetteers provide rich sets of geographic names in planetary scale (e.g. GeoNames), other sources must be used to recognize references to urban locations, such as street names, neighborhood names or landmarks. We propose integrating Linked Data sources to create a gazetteer that combines a broad coverage of places with urban detail, including content on geographic and semantic relationships involving places, their multiple names and related non-geographic entities. Our final goal is to expand the possibilities for recognizing, disambiguating and filtering references to places in texts for geographic information retrieval (GIR) and related applications. The resulting ontological gazetteer, named LoG (Linked OntoGazetteer), is accessible through Web services by applications and research initiatives on GIR, text processing, named entity recognition and others. The gazetteer currently contains over 13 million places, 140 million attributes and relationships, and 4.5 million non-geographic entities. Data sources include GeoNames, Freebase, DBPedia and LinkedGeoData, which is based on OpenStreetMap data. An analysis on how these datasets overlap and complement one another is also presented.
