[Termes IGN] image hyperspectraleRésumé : (Auteur) Graph-based classification algorithms have gained increasing attention in semi-supervised classification. Nevertheless, the graph cannot fully represent the inherent spatial distribution of the data. In this paper, a new classification methodology based on the spatial-spectral Label Propagation is proposed for semi-supervised classification of hyperspectral imagery. The spatial information was used in two aspects: on the one hand, the spatial features extracted by a 2-D Gabor filter were stacked with spectral features; on the other hand, the width of the Gaussian function, which was used to construct graph, was determined with an adaptive method. Subsequently, the unlabeled samples from the spatial neighbors of the labeled samples were selected and the spatial graph was constructed based on spatial smoothness. Finally, labels were propagated from labeled samples to unlabeled samples with spatial-spectral graph to update the training set for a basic classifier (e.g., Support Vector Machine, SVM). Experiments on four hyperspectral datasets show that the proposed Spatial-Spectral Label Propagation based on the SVM (SS-LPSVM) can effectively represent the spatial information in the framework of semi-supervised learning and consistently produces greater classification accuracy than the standard SVM, the Laplacian Support Vector Machine (LapSVM), Transductive Support Vector Machine (TSVM) and the Spatial-Contextual Semi-Supervised Support Vector Machine (SCS3VM). [Termes IGN] texture d'imageRésumé : (Auteur)In this paper, a novel change detection approach is proposed for multitemporal synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images. The approach is based on two difference images, which are constructed through intensity and texture information, respectively. In the extraction of the texture differences, robust principal component analysis technique is used to separate irrelevant and noisy elements from Gabor responses. Then graph cuts are improved by a novel energy function based on multivariate generalized Gaussian model for more accurately fitting. The effectiveness of the proposed method is proved by the experiment results obtained on several real SAR images data sets. [Termes IGN] raisonnement spatialRésumé : (Auteur) Reasoning is an essential part of any analysis process. Especially in visual analytics, the quality of the results depends heavily on the knowledge and reasoning skills of the analyst. In this study, we consider how to make the results transparent by visualizing the reasoning and the knowledge, so that persons from outside can trace and verify them. The focus of this study is in spatial analysis and a case study was carried out on a process of off-road mobility analysis. In the case study, linked views of a map and a PCP were identified as reasoning artifacts. The knowledge used by the analyst was formed by these artifacts and the tangible pieces of information identified in them, along with the mental models of the analyst's mind. To make the results transparent, the tangible pieces of information were marked with sketches and the mental models were presented in causal graphs because it was found that causality was central to the reasoning process in the case study. The causal graph allows the reasoning of the analyst to be studied, as well as traced back to its origin. [Termes IGN] réseau hydrographiqueRésumé : (auteur) This article focuses on the process of matching old hydrographic networks extracted from Cassini maps. The inherent specificities of such data make conventional methods for matching networks inefficient. We propose a novel hierarchical approach to match hydrographic networks, by extracting natural structures called strokes. Each stroke is then classified according to its weight in terms of hydrographic structure within the graph. The hierarchical selection of candidates and the use of a multi-criteria decision making process (AHP) constitute a good strategy to match imperfect hydrographic networks. [Termes IGN] traitement automatique de donnéesRésumé : (Auteur) Let S be a set of n points in a fixed axis-parallel rectangle R Í R2 , i.e. in the two-dimensional space (2D). Assuming that those points are stored in an R-tree, this paper presents several algorithms for finding the empty rectangle in R with the largest area, sides parallel to the axes of the space, and containing only a query point q. This point can not be part of S, that is, it is not stored in the R-tree. All algorithms follow the basic idea of discarding part of the points of S, in such a way that the problem can be solved only considering the remaining points. As a consequence, the algorithms only have to access a very small portion of the nodes (disk blocks) of the R-tree, saving main memory resources and computation time. We provide formal proofs of the correctness of our algorithms and, in order to evaluate the performance of the algorithms, we run an extensive set of experiments using synthetic and real data. The results have demonstrated the efficiency and scalability of our algorithms for different dataset configurations.
