[Termes IGN] image à très haute résolutionRésumé : (Auteur) A method for automatically estimating the transformation parameters between road centre-line vector maps and high resolution satellite images is proposed. The advantages of the method are that global image feature extraction is avoided and feature extraction and matching are achieved simultaneously by using the vector data as guidance. The road width, as estimated by the algorithm, together with the road direction are used as constraints to refine the matching results. Arbitrarily chosen road nodes contribute to improving the adjustment. Map-to-image matching has advantages over image-to-image matching and could be a good method for the rapid updating of geographical information system (GIS) data. [Termes IGN] test de performanceRésumé : (Auteur) The increasing role of pushbroom cameras in large photogrammetric projects has fostered international interest in achieving a sound knowledge of this device. In addition, the classic software tools, implemented for frame cameras, need to be adapted to cope with modified aerial triangulation and self-calibration procedures. This contribution presents the results obtained from the geometrical analysis and self-calibration of the second-generation pushbroom ADS40 camera, the SH52. For this purpose, a testfield was designed and built on the outskirts of Ávila, Spain and two blocks, flown at different heights, were imaged. A wide network of well-defined control and check points was observed in order to provide a thorough assessment of the accuracy and reliability of the camera. Empirical analysis of a variety of models within aerial triangulation as well as the use of internal camera parameters has led to an evaluation of the camera's performance in a real-life environment. [Termes IGN] partitionnementRésumé : (Auteur) The integration of multi-source earth observation data has become one of the most important developments in photogrammetry. A combined adjustment with linear array and frame array imagery (CALFI) is established in this paper. The mathematical model of CALFI is based on the conventional single-source bundle adjustment. A revised recursive partitioning technique is utilised to solve the large normal matrix of CALFI; the orientation parameters of the linear array imagery are arranged at the border of the reduced normal matrix to save both memory and computation time. The experimental results on simulated data show that both the accuracy and the condition index of the CALFI model are superior to the conventional bundle adjustment model with either linear array or frame array imagery separately due to the higher redundancy. [Termes IGN] surveillance géologiqueRésumé : (Auteur) An artificial rainfall event was applied to a forested slope in Ruedlingen, northern Switzerland. The experiment triggered a landslide which resulted in mobilising about 130 m3 of debris. The event was monitored by a photogrammetric network of four cameras, operating at 5 to 8 frames per second, in order to quantify spatial and temporal changes by tracking tennis balls pegged into the ground. Image measurements were performed using automated image matching methods, implemented through a software package developed in-house. Three-dimensional coordinates of the target points were estimated by running a customised type of bundle adjustment, achieving a positioning precision of + 1·8 cm. [Termes IGN] télémétrie laser aéroportéRésumé : (Auteur) A new method for assessment of the absolute positional accuracy of lidar point clouds is described. It is based on the plane surfaces of building roofs which are derived from laser footprints. Three such planes intersect at a point and the coordinates of several of these well-defined points are compared with points determined from aerial photography. From the differences obtained accuracy measures are derived. An analysis regarding the type of error distribution is carried out in order to determine whether to apply either standard or robust accuracy measures. Confidence intervals are derived for each accuracy measure by means of a unique computational method. A practical test with the proposed method revealed a high precision in the intersected points. The absolute positional accuracy of the lidar point cloud was determined with both standard and robust accuracy measures; the latter always produced smaller values. Suggestions for standards in the assessment of the positional accuracy of laser point clouds are made. [Termes IGN] photogrammétrie terrestreRésumé : (Auteur) The optical efficiency of parabolic trough collectors depends on their geometric agreement with the parabolic profile design which, in turn, largely depends on the structure supporting the collector. A method for assessing the degree of agreement between the measured geometry and the theoretical design surface is described, which takes into account uncertainty in the point coordinates and is based on kernel smoothing and bootstrapping methods. The technique was applied to a 12 m long parabolic trough collector module with a newly designed supporting structure. The analysis revealed that there were significant differences between the estimated and theoretical surfaces in several parts of the collector.
