[Termes IGN] vectorisationIndex. décimale : THESE Thèses et HDR Résumé : (auteur) Cette thèse étudie le problème de la lecture automatique de cartes pour la création de données pour les systèmes d'informations géographiques (SIG). Apres avoir justifié en introduction (ch. 1) l'intérêt opérationnel de cette démarche, les chapitres sont structures en fonction des couches d'information présentes sur la carte : - ch. 2 : traitements de bas niveau ; - ch. 3 : lecture automatique des écritures, la méthode de reconnaissance présentée est invariante aux similitudes, les résultats obtenus en automatique sont suffisants pour satisfaire aux spécifications d'une chaine de saisie manuelle; - ch. 4 : extraction des réseaux, on présente notamment une méthode de reconstruction à haut niveau permettant d'obtenir un graphe topologiquement correct ; cette reconstruction, qui s'appuie sur des règles inter-couches issues de connaissances sur la rédaction cartographique, utilise les résultats de la lecture des écritures ; - ch. 5 : extraction des bâtiments. En conclusion (ch. 6), on étudie le problème de la création automatique de liens inter-couches, qui constitue l'étape ultime pour l'intégration de données dans un SIG, et on évalue la faisabilité d'un système opérationnel de lecture automatique de cartes.
