[Termes IGN] résolution d'ambiguïtéRésumé : (auteur) Due to the highly dynamic changes of the environment, the frequent loss of signal will seriously reduce the accuracy of realtime dynamic positioning. Meanwhile, the ambiguity resolution for medium/long baseline is more affected by atmospheric delay. To solve this problem, an Inertial Navigation System (INS) assisted Beidou Navigation System (BDS) medium/long baseline partial ambiguity resolution (PAR) method is designed. Firstly, constructing the BDS/INS tight integrated system that uses INS provided initial information to ambiguity resolution when the signal outages. Secondly, the atmospheric delay constraint is introduced to improve the precision of float ambiguity. Finally, the PAR based on the elevation angle information is applied to enhance fixed speed and accuracy. The vehicle experiments show that the proposed algorithm can quickly fix the ambiguity of medium/long baseline when the satellite signal outages for a short time, and improve the positioning accuracy of medium/long baseline in the dynamic environment. [Termes IGN] teneur intégrée en vapeur d'eauRésumé : (auteur) Recent studies using convection-permitting (CP) climate simulations have demonstrated a step-change in the representation of heavy rainfall and rainfall characteristics (frequency-intensity) compared to coarser resolution Global and Regional climate models. The goal of this study is to better understand what explains the weaker frequency of precipitation in the CP ensemble by assessing the triggering process of precipitation in the different ensembles of regional climate simulations available over Europe. We focus on the statistical relationship between tropospheric temperature, humidity and precipitation to understand how the frequency of precipitation over Europe and the Mediterranean is impacted by model resolution and the representation of convection (parameterized vs. explicit). We employ a multi-model data-set with three different resolutions (0.44°, 0.11° and 0.0275°) produced in the context of the MED-CORDEX, EURO-CORDEX and the CORDEX Flagship Pilot Study "Convective Phenomena over Europe and the Mediterranean" (FPSCONV). The multi-variate approach is applied to all model ensembles, and to several surface stations where the integrated water vapor (IWV) is derived from Global Positioning System (GPS) measurements. The results show that all model ensembles capture the temperature dependence of the critical value of IWV (IWVcv), above which an increase in precipitation frequency occurs, but the differences between the models in terms of the value of IWVcv, and the probability of its being exceeded, can be large at higher temperatures. The lower frequency of precipitation in convection-permitting simulations is not only explained by higher temperatures but also by a higher IWVcv necessary to trigger precipitation at similar temperatures, and a lower probability to exceed this critical value. The spread between models in simulating IWVcv and the probability of exceeding IWVcv is reduced over land in the ensemble of models with explicit convection, especially at high temperatures, when the convective fraction of total precipitation becomes more important and the influence of the representation of entrainment in models thus becomes more important. Over lowlands, both model resolution and convection representation affect precipitation triggering while over mountainous areas, resolution has the highest impact due to orography-induced triggering processes. Over the sea, since lifting is produced by large-scale convergence, the probability to exceed IWVcv does not depend on temperature, and the model resolution does not have a clear impact on the results. [Termes IGN] retard troposphérique zénithalRésumé : (auteur) Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) has revolutionized activities involving geodetic positioning. To achieve a desired accuracy, it is essential to model the atmosphere in an appropriate way. With respect to the neutral atmosphere, the signal sent by the satellite suffers a delay when crossing this layer during its travel to the receiver on the surface, the so-called neutral atmospheric delay. Although empirical models exist, they may not be suitable to represent microclimatic variations in different regions of the globe due to peculiarities that exist in diverse areas. To minimize this limitation, correction models based on numerical weather prediction (NWP) emerge. They allow the assessment of the delay from local atmospheric parameters and the evaluation of atmospheric particularities of each region. In addition, another way to obtain neutral atmosphere delay is by making use of data from radiosondes, which measure atmospheric data at various altitude levels. The main objective of this article is to investigate the performance of different models using GNSS data collected in countries with different climatic conditions. Assessment is performed on the positioning domain using the precise point positioning (PPP) technique. The results show that the proximity between the NWP-based models and radiosondes was approximately 3 cm, and that between empirical models was 5 cm, with variations that depended on the model and the region. Regarding the impact on the height component, the difference between the accuracy of the empirical and NWP models was approximately 16 cm. [Termes IGN] teneur totale en électronsRésumé : (auteur) Atmospheric mass density (AMD) plays a vital role in the drag calculation for space objects in low Earth orbit. Many empirical AMD models have been developed and used for orbit prediction and efforts continue to improve their accuracy in forecasting high-altitude atmospheric conditions. Previous studies have assessed these models at the height of 200 km to 600 km. In this paper, four state-of-the-art AMD models, i.e., MSISE90, MSISE00, JB2008 and DTM2013 are assessed for their orbit prediction (OP) capabilities by using a new data source of COSMIC satellite ephemerides at an orbital height of ~800 km, where the contribution of ions in the total AMD is more significant. A new testing model was developed by accounting for ion contribution based on the International Reference Ionosphere 2016 model, including many more ion species that are not accounted for in other AMD models. In the assessment, two periods of forty days were chosen in 2014-2015 and 2018-2019, representing solar maximum and minimum periods, respectively, to assess four existing AMD models and the proposed model. Thorough analyses were conducted to compare OP results using different AMD models with precise reference ephemerides of COSMIC satellites and based on various space weather indices. It is shown that the proposed model outperforms all other AMD models in terms of OP errors during the solar maximum period. During solar minimum, the drag acceleration is relatively small for COSMIC satellites. Assessment of all AMD models in the orbit prediction process tends to be contaminated by the remaining uncertainty sources, such as solar radiation pressure.
