[Termes IGN] vulnérabilitéRésumé : (Auteur) The main aim of this study was to produce landslide susceptibility maps using statistical index (SI), certainty factors (CF), weights of evidence (WoE) and evidential belief function (EBF) models for the Long County, China. Firstly, a landslide inventory map, including a total of 171 landslides, was compiled on the basis of earlier reports, interpretation of aerial photographs and supported by extensive field surveys. Thereafter, all landslides were randomly separated into two data sets: 70% landslides (120 points) were selected for establishing the model and the remaining landslides (51 points) were used for validation purposes. Eleven landslide conditioning factors, such as slope aspect, slope angle, plan curvature, profile curvature, altitude, distance to faults, distance to roads, distance to rivers, lithology, NDVI and land use, were considered for landslide susceptibility mapping in this study. Then, the SI, CF, WoE and EBF models were used to produce the landslide susceptibility maps for the study area. Finally, the four models were validated using area under the curve (AUC) method. According to the validation results, the EBF model (AUC = 78.93%) has a higher prediction accuracy than the SI model (AUC = 77.72%), the WoE model (AUC = 77.62%) and the CF model (AUC = 77.72%). Similarly, the validation results also indicate that the EBF model has the highest training accuracy of 80.25%, followed by SI (79.80%), WoE (79.71%) and CF (79.67%) models. [Vedettes matières IGN] GéovisualisationRésumé : (auteur) In this study, we propose an interactive information system for wind turbine siting, considering its visual and sound externalities. This system is an integration of game engine, GIS and analytical sound propagation model in a unified 3D web environment. The game engine–GIS integration provides a 3D virtual environment where users can navigate through the existing geospatial data of the whole country and place different wind turbine types to explore their visual impact on the landscape. The integration of a sound propagation model in the game engine–GIS supports the real-time calculation and feedback regarding wind turbine sound at the surrounding buildings. The platform's GIS component enables massive (on-the-fly) georeferenced data utilization through tiling techniques as well as data accessibility and interoperability via cloud-based architecture and open geospatial standard protocols. The game engine, on the other hand, supports performance optimization for both data display and sound model calculations. [Vedettes matières IGN] GéovisualisationRésumé : (Auteur) Simulation and subsequent visualization in a network environment are important to glean insights into spatiotemporal processes. As computing systems become increasingly diverse in hardware architectures, operating systems, screen sizes, human–computer interactions and network capabilities, effective simulation and visualization must become adaptive to a wide range of diverse devices. This paper focuses on the optimization of simulation and visualization analysis of the dam-failure flood spatiotemporal process for diverse computing systems. First, an adaptive browser/server architecture of the dam-failure simulation application was designed to fill the hardware performance and visualization context gap that exists within diverse computing systems. Second, a data flow and an optimization method for multilevel time-series flood data were given to provide more support to network simulation, visualization and analysis on diversified terminals. Finally, a user interaction friendly and plugin-free prototype system was developed. The experiment results demonstrate that the methods addressed in this paper can cope with the challenge in simulation, visualization and interaction of a dam-failure simulation application on diversified terminals.
