[Termes IGN] température de l'airRésumé : (Auteur) The volume depolarization ratio of the molecular backscatter signal detected with polarization lidar varies by a factor of nearly 4 depending on whether the rotational Raman bands are included in the detected signals of the individual system or not. If the rotational Raman spectrum is included partially in the signals, this calibration factor depends on the temperature of the atmosphere. This dependency is studied for different spectral widths of the receiving channels. In addition, the sensitivity to differences between the laser wavelength and the center wavelength of the receiver are discussed. [Termes IGN] lidar RamanRésumé : (auteur) A scanning Raman lidar for the external correction of the wet path delay of GPS data is under development. Simulations of lidar signal returns for nighttime and daytime operations at 355 and 532 nm show that a millimeter precision on wet path delay is achievable. A simple inversion method to retrieve water vapor and nitrogen concentration profiles is presented. An absolute calibration procedure for instrumental factor and atmospheric transmission is discussed. [Termes IGN] Terre (planète)Résumé : (Auteur) DLR's Xband interferometric SAR system onboard the Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM) has been flown successfully in February 2000 and acquired 3660 Gbytes of raw data to be processed to a near global Digital Elevation Model (DEM) of the Earth with an absolute height accuracy of +16m. Before starting the operational processing deferent kinds of calibration and motion compensation activities based on the attitude and position data and recorded instrument housekeeping data have to be performed. The preliminary results achieved over ocean test areas show the absolute height error and the relative error from the radar noise within specification. The processing and archiving facility is operational and the complete data set will be processed and available to the customers till mid 2003.
