Une situation originale, où science et gouvernance essayent d'avancer ensemble, mais qui n'empêche pas les situations tendues avec les professionnels de la pêche. Le SIG en cours de constitution devrait donner les mêmes cartes à tout le monde ! [Termes IGN] réseau routierRésumé : (Auteur) Comprehensive and accurate information on the conditions of the road infrastructure is essential for effective management and planning of the road network, especially in cities facing serious traffic congestion problems, as in the city of Istanbul, Turkey. One of the most important services of the local authorities is the rehabilitation of road surfaces. Asphalt resurfacing is carried out to renew the road surface and restore its resistance to weathered and traffic worn pavements. Today, the determination of pavement surface conditions is usually carried out through visual inspections by the experts and interpretation of in situ photographs/videos. In this study, an investigation has been made to understand the spectral behaviour of the asphalt in terms of its contents and age, also to discover the feasibility of using widely available satellite sensors in the determination of road surface conditions. Two datasets in the study area from D-100 road and TEM highway were used to examine asphalt road aging and deterioration. The changes to the conditions of the roads were detected using multispectral IKONOS images and ground spectral measurements for asphalt samples were obtained using an Analytical Spectral Devices full range (ASD FR) instrument in a laboratory environment. It was found that the road deformations mainly occur in areas where vehicles reduce or increase their speeds suddenly. Road sections just before toll booths and junctions are found to be more prone to deformations. IKONOS images can be effectively used to determine the condition of the asphalt pixels. [Termes IGN] Mexique (golfe du)Résumé : (Auteur) Mangrove wetlands are economically and ecologically important ecosystems and accurate assessment of these wetlands with remote sensing can assist in their management and conservation. This study was conducted to evaluate airborne AISA+ hyperspectral imagery and image transformation and classification techniques for mapping black mangrove populations on the south Texas Gulf coast. AISA+ hyperspectral imagery was acquired from two study sites and both minimum noise fraction (MNF) and inverse MNF transforms were performed. Four classification methods, including minimum distance, Mahalanobis distance, maximum likelihood, and spectral angle mapper (SAM), were applied to the noise-reduced hyperspectral imagery and to the band-reduced MNF imagery for distinguishing black mangrove from associated plant species and other cover types. Accuracy assessment showed that overall accuracy varied from 84 percent to 95 percent for site 1 and from 69 percent to 91 percent for site 2 among the eight classifications for each site. The MNF images provided similar or better classification results compared with the hyperspectral images among the four classifiers. Kappa analysis showed that there were no significant differences among the four classifiers with the MNF imagery, though maximum likelihood provided excellent overall and class accuracies for both sites. Producer’s and user’s accuracies for black mangrove were 91 percent and 94 percent, respectively, for site 1 and both 91 percent for site 2 based on maximum likelihood applied to the MNF imagery. These results indicate that airborne hyperspectral imagery combined with image transformation and classification techniques can be a useful tool for monitoring and mapping black mangrove distributions in coastal environments. [Termes IGN] migration humaineRésumé : (Auteur) This paper describes a new approach called kriskogram to visualizing migration flows. To create a kriskogram, geographical units are projected as a set of points on a straight line segment called a location line. The migration flow between two points on the location line is represented using a half-circle drawn from the origin to the destination in a clockwise direction. Translucent symbols and a classification scheme can be used to make a kriskogram more effective. We demonstrate this method using a set of interstate migration data of four time periods for the conterminous United States. [Termes IGN] semis de pointsRésumé : (Auteur) An automated method for 3D modelling of complex highway interchanges is presented. Laser data and 2D topographic map data have been combined in an innovative 3D reconstruction procedure. Complex situations as shown in this paper demand knowledge to guide the automatic reconstruction. This knowledge has been used in the fusion procedure to constrain the topological and geometrical properties of the reconstructed 3D model. These additions are needed to take care of the lack of data in occluded areas. Laser data has been segmented and filtered before it is fused with map data. In the surface-growing algorithm combining map and laser points, the laser data is assigned to the corresponding road element. Although results are shown using two specific data sources, the algorithm is designed to be capable of dealing with any polygon-based topographic map and any aerial laser scanner data-set.
