[Termes IGN] trajet (mobilité)Résumé : (auteur) With the development of cities, the indoor structures of contemporary public or commercial buildings are becoming increasingly complex. Accordingly, the need for indoor navigation has arisen. Among the indoor positioning technologies, quick response (QR) code, a low-cost, easily deployable, flexible, and efficient approach, has been used for indoor positioning and navigation purposes. A navigation network (model) is a precondition for pedestrian navigation path planning. However, no thorough research has been completed to investigate the relationship between navigation networks and locations of QR codes, which may cause ambiguities when deciding the closest node from the network that should be used for path computation. Specifically, QR codes are generally placed according to preferences or certain specifications whereas current agreed navigation network derivation approaches do not consider that. This article presents a navigation network derivation approach to address the issue by integrating QR code locations as nodes in navigation networks. The present approach is demonstrated in a shopping mall case. The results show that the approach can overcome the above-mentioned issue for indoor pedestrian path planning based on the QR code localization. Based on forecast precipitation, topography, and pipe networks, flood simulations can provide early warnings for areas and buildings at risk of flooding. Basement windows, doors, and underground garage entrances are common places where floodwater can flow into a building. Some buildings have been prepared or designed considering the threat of flooding, but others have not. Therefore, knowing the heights of these facade openings helps to identify places that are more susceptible to water ingress. However, such data is not yet readily available in most cities. Traditional surveying of the desired targets may be used, but this is a very time-consuming and laborious process. Instead, mobile mapping using LiDAR (light detection and ranging) is an efficient tool to obtain a large amount of high-density 3D measurement data. To use this method, it is required to extract the desired facade openings from the data in a fully automatic manner. This research presents a new process for the extraction of windows and doors from LiDAR mobile mapping data. Deep learning object detection models are trained to identify these objects. Usually, this requires to provide large amounts of manual annotations.
In this paper, we mitigate this problem by leveraging a rule-based method. In a first step, the rule-based method is used to generate pseudo-labels. A semi-supervised learning strategy is then applied with three different levels of supervision. The results show that using only automatically generated pseudo-labels, the learning-based model outperforms the rule-based approach by 14.6% in terms of F1-score. After five hours of human supervision, it is possible to improve the model by another 6.2%. By comparing the detected facade openings' heights with the predicted water levels from a flood simulation model, a map can be produced which assigns per-building flood risk levels. Thus, our research provides a new geographic information layer for fine-grained urban emergency response. This information can be combined with flood forecasting to provide a more targeted disaster prevention guide for the city's infrastructure and residential buildings. The goal of this research is toward generating a high-quality and natural-looking colorization based on an architectural line drawing. This paper presents a new Generative Adversarial Network (GAN)-based method, named ArchGANs, including ArchColGAN and ArchShdGAN. ArchColGAN is a GAN-based line-feature-aware network for stylized colorization generation. ArchShdGAN is a lighting effects generation network, from which the building depiction in 3D can benefit. In particular, ArchColGAN is able to maintain the important line features and the correlation property of building parts as well as reduce the uneven colorization caused by sparse lines. Moreover, we proposed a color enhancement method to further improve ArchColGAN. Besides the single line drawing images, we also extend our method to handle line drawing image sequences and achieve rotation animation. Experiments and studies demonstrate the effectiveness and usefulness of our proposed method for colorization prototyping. [Termes IGN] Web Map Tile ServiceRésumé : (auteur) In this paper, we present our workflow to automatically reconstruct three-dimensional (3D) building models based on two-dimensional building polygons and a lidar point cloud. The workflow generates models at different levels of detail (LoDs) to support data requirements of different applications from one consistent source. Specific attention has been paid to make the workflow robust to quickly run a new iteration in case of improvements in an algorithm or in case new input data become available. The quality of the reconstructed data highly depends on the quality of the input data and is monitored in several steps of the process. A 3D viewer has been developed to view and download the openly available 3D data at different LoDs in different formats. The workflow has been applied to all 10 million buildings of the Netherlands. The 3D service will be updated after new input data becomes available. The map is a prism into the wider “Goori” Aboriginal society of the early 1800s. The map was generated by two Aboriginal scholars and an anthropologist using a practice-based ontological approach and by historians using early textual sources. The map juxtaposes a geopolitical edge against contemporary metropolitan mapping, providing a foundation of First Nations geography to underlie and undermine the power of colonial and postcolonial cartography.
