[Termes IGN] littératureRésumé : (Auteur) This contribution describes the evolution of the crime fiction novel into a genre which over the past decades has become characterized by its internationality. This characterisation applies both in terms of its dissemination and in terms of its narrative subject matter. How crime fiction novels convey local, touristic and geographical knowledge throughout the world, modify it, and create topographical fiction, is described. The maps of cities, countries and neighbourhoods that provide a pictorial element to crime fiction novels are symptomatic of the transformation of the genre from a literature of crime into a literature of geographical and cultural orientation. The evolution of the genre makes possible the drafting of a crime fiction world map in order to examine the international range, examples of gaps and significant clusters. A crime fiction atlas can, in addition to this, form a collection of fictitious and narrative descriptions of localities. A 3D photo-textured model, which can describe both spatial connections and material properties, is a measurable virtual object that is achieved via terrestrial survey techniques, such as laser scanning and imaging. This article presents the current status of techniques and technologies for the construction of a textured model, through the support of experiences regarding an ancient historical building in the Lombardy region of Northern Italy. A quality prediction method for building model reconstruction using LiDAR data and topographic maps / R. In this paper, the tensor voting algorithm and a region-growing method are adopted to extract building roof planes and structural lines from LiDAR data, and a robust least squares method is applied to register LiDAR data with building outlines obtained from topographic maps. The minimal square sum of the separations of the most peripheral points to building outlines is adopted as the criterion for determining the transformation parameters in order to improve the efficiency of data fusion. After registration, a novel quality indicator of data fusion based on the tensor analysis of residuals is derived in order to evaluate the quality of the automatic reconstruction of 3D building models. Finally, an actual LiDAR data set and its corresponding topographic map demonstrate the fusion procedure and the quality of the predictions related to automatic model reconstruction.
