[Termes IGN] valeur aberranteRésumé : (auteur) In this contribution, the minimum detectable bias (MDB) as well as the statistical tests to identify disturbed observations are introduced for the Gauss-Helmert model. Especially, if the observations are uncorrelated, these quantities will have the same structure as in the Gauss-Markov model, where the redundancy numbers play a key role. All the derivations are based on one-dimensional and additive observation errors respectively offsets which are modeled as additional parameters to be estimated. The formulas to compute these additional parameters with the corresponding variances are also derived in this contribution. The numerical examples of plane fitting and yaw computation show, that the MDB is also in the GHM an appropriate measure to analyze the ability of an implemented least-squares algorithm to detect if outliers are present. Two sources negatively influencing detectability are identified: columns close to the zero vector in the observation matrix B and sub-optimal configuration in the design matrix A. Even if these issues can be excluded, it can be difficult to identify the correct observation as being erroneous. Therefore, the correlation coefficients between two test values are derived and analyzed. Together with the MDB these correlation coefficients are an useful tool to assess the inner reliability – and therefore the detection and identification of outliers – in the Gauss-Helmert model. [Termes IGN] réseau de transportRésumé : (auteur) This thesis deals with the modelling of historical accessibility values, covering Switzerland and neighbouring regions from today until 1720. Changes in transport supply have spatial e ects on environment, society and economy; many of them are persistent. There are methods to quantify, isolate and capture causality. However, related studies are rarely done, one reason for that being missing data. The thesis details methods to reconstruct historical transport networks and corresponding travel system times. The related techniques, relevant conditions in historical transport maps and procedures needed are explained in detail. The associated numbers related to development in transport and travelling are prepared. The thesis shows applications of such results regarding state reach and productivity gains. The accessibility model includes both transport on the main road network as well as the space in-between capturing all relevant transport modes and generating continuous results for long-distance travel. Results show strong border e ects; this might be due to the population distribution model or the rather flat weight function. Results show an increase of accessibility over time, following the networks available at the time and along the central axes. [Termes IGN] transformation linéaireRésumé : (Auteur) Image registration is an indispensable component of remote sensing applications, such as disaster monitoring, change detection, and classification. Grayscale differences and geometric distortions often occur among multisource images due to their different imaging mechanisms, thus making it difficult to acquire feature points and match corresponding points. This article proposes a scene shape similarity feature (SSSF) descriptor based on scene shape features and shape context algorithms. A new similarity measure called SSSFncc is then defined by computing the normalized correlation coefficient of the SSSF descriptors between multisource remote sensing images. Furthermore, the tie points between the reference and the sensed image are extracted via a template matching strategy. A global consistency check method is then used to remove the mismatched tie points. Finally, a piecewise linear transform model is selected to rectify the remote sensing image. The proposed SSSFncc aims to extract the scene shape similarity between multisource images. The accuracy of the proposed SSSFncc is evaluated using five pairs of experimental images from optical, synthetic aperture radar, and map data. Registration results demonstrate that the SSSFncc similarity measure is robust enough for complex nonlinear grayscale differences among multisource remote sensing images. The proposed method achieves more reliable registration outcomes compared with other popular methods. [Termes IGN] température au solRésumé : (Auteur) This study aims to develop an approach to characterize cropland drought conditions in El Salvador, Central America. The data were processed for 2016–2017 through three main steps: (1) reconstructing MODIS land-surface temperature (LST), (2) Landsat-MODIS data fusion and (3) drought delineation using the temperature vegetation dryness index (TVDI). The results of LST reconstruction using the random forests (RF) indicated the median RMSE value of 0.5 °C. The fusion results achieved from the STARFM compared with the reference Landsat data revealed close agreement with the correlation coefficient (r) values higher than 0.84. The TVDI results verified with that from the reference Landsat data indicated r values of 0.85 and 0.75 for 2016 and 2017, respectively. The larger very dry area was observed for the 2016 primera season due to prolonged droughts. Approximately 11.5% and 10.7% of croplands were, respectively, associated with very dry moisture condition in the 2016 and 2017 primera seasons. [Termes IGN] série temporelleRésumé : (auteur) We consider the detection of changes in the mean of a set of time series. The breakpoints are allowed to be series specific, and the series are assumed to be correlated. The correlation between the series is supposed to be constant along time but is allowed to take an arbitrary form. We show that such a dependence structure can be encoded in a factor model. Thanks to this representation, the inference of the breakpoints can be achieved via dynamic programming, which remains one the most efficient algorithms. We propose a model selection procedure to determine both the number of breakpoints and the number of factors. This proposed method is implemented in the FASeg R package, which is available on the CRAN. We demonstrate the performances of our procedure through simulation experiments and present an application to geodesic data.
