[Termes IGN] positionnement par GPSRésumé : (Auteur) Photogrammetric and lidar data-sets have been used together in mapping procedures because of their complementary characteristics. However, to perform this integration both data-sets must be within a common reference frame. Although all lidar systems include a direct georeferencing procedure, the majority of low-cost photogrammetric systems do not have a facility for direct georeferencing of images even if the data-sets are captured simultaneously. In recent years, the high accuracy of the lidar data has enabled it to provide a source of photogrammetric control and thus to offer indirect georeferencing. This paper presents a methodology for the indirect georeferencing of digital SLR images using signalised lidar control points, together with the results obtained. The intensity image and raw lidar data-set were used to extract 3D coordinates of signalised control points. Two bundle adjustments of 21 images were performed. In the first case the coordinates of the control points were obtained by using GPS survey. In the second, they were extracted from a lidar data-set. The results obtained from these experiments confirm the feasibility of the proposed methodology Numéro de notice : A2011-078 Affiliation des auteurs : non IGN Thématique : IMAGERIE Nature : Article DOI : 10.1111/j.1477-9730.2011.00621.x Date de publication en ligne : 16/03/2011 En ligne : https://doi.org/10.1111/j.1477-9730.2011.00621.x Format de la ressource électronique : URL article Permalink : https://documentation.ensg.eu/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=30859

[Termes IGN] semis de pointsRésumé : (auteur) The accurate 3D documentation of architectures and heritages is getting very common and required in different application contexts. The potentialities of the image-based approach are nowadays very well-known but there is a lack of reliable, precise and flexible solutions, possibly open-source, which could be used for metric and accurate documentation or digital conservation and not only for simple visualization or web-based applications. The article presents a set of photogrammetric tools developed in order to derive accurate 3D point clouds and orthoimages for the digitization of archaeological and architectural objects. The aim is also to distribute free solutions (software, methodologies, guidelines, best practices, etc.) based on 3D surveying and modeling experiences, useful in different application contexts (architecture, excavations, museum collections, heritage documentation, etc.) and according to several representation needs (2D technical documentation, 3D reconstruction, web visualization, etc. Numéro de notice : C2011-063 Affiliation des auteurs : MATIS+Ext (1993-2011) Thématique : IMAGERIE/INFORMATIQUE Nature : Communication DOI : sans En ligne : https://www.conferencepartners.cz/cipa/proceedings/pdfs/B-2/Remondino2.pdf Format de la ressource électronique : URL article Permalink : https://documentation.ensg.eu/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=101216 Orientation and 3D modelling from markerless terrestrial images : combining accuracy with automation / Luigi Barazzetti in Photogrammetric record, vol 25 n° 132 (December 2010 - February 2011)

[Termes IGN] semis de pointsRésumé : (Auteur) In this paper an automated methodology is presented (i) to orient a set of close-range images captured with a calibrated camera, and (ii) to extract dense and accurate point clouds starting from the estimated orientation parameters. The whole procedure combines different algorithms and techniques in order to obtain accurate 3D reconstructions in an automatic way. The exterior orientation parameters are estimated using a photogrammetric bundle adjustment with the image correspondences detected using area- and feature-based matching algorithms. Surface measurements are then performed using advanced multi-image matching techniques based on multiple image primitives. To demonstrate the reliability, precision and robustness of the procedure, several tests on different kinds of free-form objects are illustrated and discussed in the paper. Three-dimensional comparisons with range-based data are also carried out. [Termes IGN] résiduRésumé : (Auteur) This paper describes a new method for integrated range camera system self-calibration in which both traditional camera calibration parameters and rangefinder systematic error parameters are estimated simultaneously in a free-network bundle adjustment of observations to signalised targets. Its mathematical basis is collinearity and range observation equations augmented with correction models for systematic error sources identified in the data. The self-calibration results from datasets captured with two different range cameras, a SwissRanger SR3000 and a SwissRanger SR4000, are presented and analysed in detail. The method’s effectiveness is demonstrated in terms of systematic error removal and independent accuracy assessment. Up to a 54% reduction in the residual RMS was achieved by inclusion of the proposed error models in the self-calibration adjustment. An improvement of at least 74% in the RMS of object point co-ordinate differences, over that achieved without calibration or provided by the manufacturer’s software (in the case of the SR3000), was realised in an independent accuracy assessment. In addition, the effects of several influencing variables, including the range stochastic error model, the network geometry and the range measurements themselves, on key correlation mechanisms are analysed in detail.
