[Termes IGN] zone urbaineRésumé : (Auteur) The dynamics of urban activities in Jerusalem were studied by analyzing a large-scale semantically rich movement dataset. The semantic enrichment process was based on coupling movement trajectories sampled by GPS loggers with contextual data derived from trajectory-based digital activity dairies. Although the utility of such procedures in generating trajectory-specific semantic data was noted before, their application stays limited. In this paper, we promote the utilization of these procedures by demonstrating that they are not only feasible but also important for mobility studies. We discuss the characteristics of the semantic enrichment process and the manner by which it was applied within the large-scale analysis of urban dynamics. This application uncovered a time- and context-dependent array of centers in Jerusalem, resulting in a semantically rich characterization of urban dynamics. Such characterization provides otherwise unobtainable insights crucial for urban analysis. Wider implications for movement studies may be derived, as this application demonstrates how diary-based enrichment approaches hold the potential to advance bridging the semantic gap in mobility research. This is very useful for surveying, precision farming or infrastructure inspection. An onboard system for position and attitude determination of lightweight UAVs weighs 240 grams and produces position accuracies better than 5 centimeters and attitude accuracies better than 1 degree. [Termes IGN] système d'information géographiqueRésumé : (Auteur) Geospatial technologies are emerging as one of the most promising environments for development of emergency management framework. Geospatial technologies such as Remote Sensing, Geographic Information Systems and Global Positioning Systems integrated with valuable near/real-time field information can provide a comprehensive platform for emergency management. Satellite imagery, vector database, Location Based Services and ancillary data having the relevant attribute information with access and query tools helps the disaster manager to analyse the required information for relief operations. However, the conceptual design of the database, integration procedures, development of decision support functions and dissemination of information integrating real-time information from the field are very important issues in development framework for emergency management. There are some technological challenges in the emergency response for deriving the required outputs such as damage assessment, evacuation planning, situation monitoring, information dissemination, and coordination of resource and logistic planning. This article provides a framework for the integration of various multi-disciplinary technologies for addressing emergency management. [Termes IGN] simple différenceRésumé : (auteur) We develop a new integrated navigation system, which integrates GPS precise point positioning (PPP) with low-cost micro-electro-mechanical sensors (MEMS) inertial system, for precise positioning applications. Currently, most common GPS PPP techniques employ undifferenced ionosphere-free (IF) linear combination. In this work, both undifferenced and between-satellite single-difference (BSSD) IF linear combinations of pseudorange and carrier measurements are considered. IGS precise orbital and clock products are used to correct for satellite orbit and clock errors. Rigorous models are used to account for tropospheric delay, ocean loading, earth tide, carrier phase windup, relativity and satellite antenna phase-center variations. To integrate GPS PPP and MEMS-based inertial systems, the process and measurement models are developed. Tightly coupled mechanization is adopted, which is carried out in the raw measurements domain. Extended Kalman filter is developed to merge the corrected GPS satellite difference observations and inertial measurements and estimate inertial measurements biases and errors. A atlab-based computer program is developed to carry out the tightly coupled integration. The performance of the proposed integrated system is analyzed using a real test situation. It is shown that decimeter-level positioning accuracy is achievable with both undifferenced and BSSD integrated systems. However, in general, better positioning accuracy is obtained with BSSD integrated system.
