[Termes IGN] teneur totale en électronsRésumé : (auteur) The present paper investigates accuracy of single and dual-frequency Global Positioning System (GPS) standard point positioning solutions employing different ionosphere error mitigation techniques. The total electron content (TEC) in the ionosphere is the prominent delay error source in GPS positioning, and its elimination is essential for obtaining a relatively precise positioning solution. The estimated delay error from different ionosphere models and maps, such as Klobuchar model, global ionosphere models, and vertical TEC maps are compared with the locally derived ionosphere error following the ion density and frequency dependence with delay error. Finally, the positional accuracy of the single and dual-frequency GPS point positioning solutions are probed through different ionospheric mitigation methods including exploitation of models, maps, and ionosphere-free linear combinations and removal of higher order ionospheric effects. The results suggest the superiority of global ionosphere maps for single-frequency solution, whereas for the dual-frequency measurement the ionosphere-free linear combination with prior removal of higher-order ionosphere effects from global ionosphere maps and geomagnetic reference fields resulted in improved positioning quality among the chosen mitigation techniques. Conspicuously, the susceptibility of height component to different ionospheric mitigation methods are demonstrated in this study which may assist the users in selecting appropriate technique for precise GPS positioning measurements. [Termes IGN] résolution d'ambiguïtéRésumé : (Auteur) Raw observation processing method with prior knowledge of ionospheric delay could strengthen the ambiguity resolution (AR), but it does not make full use of the relatively longer wavelength of wide-lane (WL) observation. Furthermore, the accuracy of calculated atmospheric delays from the regional augmentation information has quite different in quality, while the atmospheric constraint used in the current methods is usually set to an empirical value. A proper constraint, which matches the accuracy of calculated atmospheric delays, can most effectively compensate the residual systematic biases caused by large inter-station distances. Therefore, the standard deviation of the residual atmospheric parameters should be fine-tuned. This paper presents an atmosphere-constrained AR method for undifferenced network RTK (URTK) rover, whose ambiguities are sequentially fixed according to their wavelengths. Furthermore, this research systematically analyzes the residual atmospheric error and finds that it mainly varies along the positional relationship between the rover and the chosen reference stations. More importantly, its ionospheric part of certain location will also be cyclically influenced every day. Therefore, the standard deviation of residual ionospheric error can be modeled by a daily repeated cosine or other functions with the help of data one day before, and applied by rovers as pseudo-observation. With the data collected at 29 stations from a continuously operating reference station network in Guangdong Province (GDCORS) in China, the efficiency of the proposed approach is confirmed by improving the success and error rates of AR for 10-20 % compared to that of the WL-L1-IF one, as well as making much better positioning accuracy. [Termes IGN] temps réelRésumé : (auteur) In this paper, the stochastic characteristics of Global Positioning System (GPS) pseudo-range noise as influenced by several factors such as receiver type, frequency, and ionosphere environment are analysed. The results indicate that the noise level of GPS observations is significantly affected by these factors. Moreover, the noise level is so mutable that it cannot be generalised and described by a uniform empirical model. Even for the same satellite, the noise level of observations may fluctuate sharply in both spatial and temporal resolution. To establish a reasonable stochastic model, a recursive sliding window method for estimating pseudo-range noise in real time is introduced. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by specific computational examples. [Termes IGN] retard troposphériqueRésumé : (Auteur) The differential ionospheric path delay is a major error source in L-band interferograms. It is superimposed to topography and ground deformation signals, hindering the measurement of geophysical processes. In this paper, we proceed toward the realization of an operational processor to compensate the ionospheric effects in interferograms. The processor should be robust and accurate to meet the scientific requirements for the measurement of geophysical processes, and it should be applicable on a global scale. An implementation of the split-spectrum method, which will be one element of the processor, is presented in detail, and its performance is analyzed. The method is based on the dispersive nature of the ionosphere and separates the ionospheric component of the interferometric phase from the nondispersive component related to topography, ground motion, and tropospheric path delay. We tested the method using various Advanced Land Observing Satellite Phased-Array type L-band synthetic aperture radar interferometric pairs with different characteristics: high to low coherence, moving and nonmoving terrains, with and without topography, and different ionosphere states. Ionospheric errors of almost 1 m have been corrected to a centimeter or a millimeter level. The results show how the method is able to systematically compensate the ionospheric phase in interferograms, with the expected accuracy, and can therefore be a valid element of the operational processor. [Termes IGN] propagation ionosphériqueRésumé : (auteur) Tracking L-band signals of GNSS satellites by radio telescopes became a new observation type in recent years and will be used to improve reference system realizations and links between Earth- and space-fixed frames. First successful test observations were done, with the drawback of being single-frequency only. In order to correct the ionospheric delay by using GNSS phase observations from co-located receivers, the L4R approach was developed. Based on residuals derived by a least-squares processing of the GNSS geometry-free linear combination corresponding corrections could be derived. As a first validation step L4R corrections were applied to GNSS L1 data analysis. Station coordinate repeatibilities at the 1-cm level were obtained for baselines of a few thousand kilometers. Comparing the derived delay corrections to VLBI ionospheric delays for quasars located in same directions, differences with a standard deviation of 2.2 TECU could be achieved.
