[Termes IGN] station permanenteRésumé : (Auteur) Despite the wide use of the global navigation satellite system (GNSS), its performance can be severely degraded due to blockage and vulnerability to interference. Stand-alone ground-based positioning systems can provide positioning services in the absence of GNSS signals and have tremendous application potential. For precise point positioning in ground-based systems, ambiguity resolution (AR) is a key issue. On-the-fly (OTF) AR methods are desirable for reasons of convenience. The existing methods usually linearize a nonlinear problem approximately by a series expansion that is based on an initial position estimation obtained by code measurements or measuring instruments. However, if the initial position estimation contains relatively large errors, the convergence of existing methods cannot be ensured. We present a new OTF-AR method based on the double difference square (DDS) observation model for ground-based precise point positioning, which involves only carrier phase measurements. The initial solution obtained from the DDS model is sufficiently accurate to obtain a float solution by linearization, and this step only requires the frequency synchronization of base stations. Further, if the clock differences of the base stations are accurately calibrated, a fixed solution can be obtained by employing the LAMBDA algorithm. Numerical simulations and a real-world experiment are conducted to validate the proposed method. Both the simulations and the experimental results show that the proposed method can achieve high-accuracy positioning. These results enable precise point positioning to be applied in situations where no reliable code measurements or other measuring instruments are available for stand-alone ground-based positioning systems. [Termes IGN] variation diurneRésumé : (Auteur) We examined performance of two empirical profile-based ionospheric models, namely IRI-2016 and NeQuick-2, in electron content (EC) and total electron content (TEC) representation for different seasons and levels of solar activity. We derived and analyzed EC estimates in several representative altitudinal intervals for the ionosphere and the plasmasphere from the COSMIC GPS radio occultation, ground-based GPS and Jason-2 joint altimeter/GPS observations. It allows us to estimate a quantitative impact of the ionospheric electron density profiles formulation in several altitudinal intervals and to examine the source of the model-data discrepancies of the EC specification from the bottom-side ionosphere towards the GPS orbit altitudes. The most pronounced model-data differences were found at the low latitude region as related to the equatorial ionization anomaly appearance. Both the IRI-2016 and NeQuick-2 models tend to overestimate the daytime ionospheric EC and TEC at low latitudes during all seasons of low solar activity. On the contrary, during high solar activity the model results underestimated the EC/TEC observations at low latitudes. We found that both models underestimated the EC for the topside ionosphere and plasmasphere regions for all levels of solar activity. For low solar activity, the underestimated EC from the topside ionosphere and plasmasphere can compensate the overestimation of the ionospheric EC and, consequently, can slightly decrease the resulted model overestimation of the ground-based TEC. For high solar activity, the underestimated EC from the topside ionosphere and plasmasphere leads to a strengthening of the model underestimation of the ground-based TEC values. We demonstrated that the major source of the model-data discrepancies in the EC/TEC domain comes from the topside ionosphere/plasmasphere system. [Termes IGN] surcharge océaniqueRésumé : (Auteur) Ocean tide loading (OTL) displacement amplitudes and phase lags of SHAO site are estimated by global positioning system (GPS), kinematic precise point positioning (PPP) and spectral analysis using 19 years of continuous GPS observations. In kinematic PPP, the 66 additional harmonic displacement parameters are replaced by the three time-varying displacement parameters without a priori modelled OTL displacements. By comparing the results with predictions from hybrid regional/global models, we are able to demonstrate that GPS/model agreements are at the level of 0.2 mm (horizontal) and 0.6 mm (vertical) for the four lunar constituents, 0.4 mm (horizontal) and 1.35 mm (vertical) for the four solar/sidereal constituents, and 0.2 mm (horizontal) and 0.3 mm (vertical) for the three long-period constituents. Finally, we conclude that GPS-derived lunar constituents can substitute for the model corrections in GPS data processing and the accuracy of GPS-derived solar/sidereal constituents needs to be improved by further studies.
