However, previous studies have shown the presence of nonnegligible correlation between the noise samples in different spectral bands, especially between noises in adjacent bands, and that most of the well-known intrinsic dimension estimation algorithms give poor estimates in the presence of correlated noise. Thus, there is a need to tackle the specific case of spectrally correlated noise for noise estimation. We show, in this paper, that the commonly employed hyperspectral noise estimation algorithm based on regression residuals can be significantly affected by spectrally correlated noise and we suggest a modified approach that proves to be robust to noise correlation. Furthermore, the proposed method improves the noise variance estimates in comparison to the classic residual method even for the case of uncorrelated noise. Simulation results show that the estimation error is reduced at times by a factor of 5 when there is high spectral correlation in the noise. Our proposed per-pixel noise estimator requires an estimate of the noise covariance matrix, and for this, we also propose a method to estimate the noise covariance matrix. Simulation results demonstrate that the per-pixel noise estimates obtained via the use of estimated noise statistics are almost as good as those obtained via use of the true statistics. The approach tracks the centerlines between vector buildings to generate the candidate seams that avoid crossing buildings existing in maps. The candidate seams are then refined by considering their surrounding pixels to minimize the visual transition between the images to be mosaicked. After the refinement of the candidate seams, the final seams further bypass most of the buildings that are not updated into vector maps. Finally, three groups of aerial imagery from different urban densities are employed to test the proposed approach. The experimental results illustrate the advantages of the proposed approach in avoiding the crossing of buildings. The computational efficiency of the proposed approach is also significantly higher than that of Dijkstra’s algorithm. [Termes IGN] zone tamponRésumé : (Auteur) This paper proposes a novel occlusion detection method for urban true orthophoto generation. In this new method, occlusion detection is performed using a ghost image; this method is therefore considerably different from the traditional Z-buffer method, in which occlusion detection is performed during the generation of a true orthophoto (to avoid ghost image occurrence). In the proposed method, a model is first established that describes the relationship between each ghost image and the boundary of the corresponding building occlusion, and then an algorithm is applied to identify the occluded areas in the ghost images using the building displacements. This theory has not previously been applied in true orthophoto generation. The experimental results demonstrate that the method proposed in this paper is capable of effectively avoiding pseudo-occlusion detection, with a success rate of 99.2%, and offers improved occlusion detection accuracy compared with the traditional Z-buffer detection method. The advantage of this method is that it avoids the shortcoming of performing occlusion detection and true orthophoto generation simultaneously, which results in false visibility and false occlusions; instead, the proposed method detects occlusions from ghost images and therefore provides simple and effective true orthophoto generation. Current projections of species redistribution at continental extent are based on climatic grids of coarse (≥ 1 km) resolutions that fail to capture spatiotemporal dynamics associated with climatic microrefugia. Here, we review recent methods to model the climatic component of potential microrefugia and highlight research gaps in accounting for the buffering capacity due to biophysical processes operating at very fine ( Numéro de notice : A2017-635 Affiliation des auteurs : non IGN Thématique : FORET/IMAGERIE Nature : Article DOI : 10.1111/ecog.02788 En ligne : http://doi.org/10.1111/ecog.02788 Format de la ressource électronique : URL article Permalink : https://documentation.ensg.eu/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=86976
