[Termes IGN] trajet (mobilité)Résumé : (auteur) Walking is one of the most commonly promoted traveling methods and is garnering increasing attention. Many indices/scores have been developed by scholars to measure the walkability in a local community. However, most existing walking indices/scores involve urban planning-oriented, local service-oriented, regional accessibility-oriented, and physical activity-oriented walkability assessments. Since shopping and dining are two major leisure activities in our daily lives, more attention should be given to the shopping or dining-oriented walking environment. Therefore, we developed two additional walking indices that focus on shopping or dining. The point of interest (POI), vegetation coverage, water coverage, distance to bus/subway station, and land surface temperature were employed to construct walking indices based on 50-meter street segments. Then, walking index values were categorized into seven recommendation levels. The field verification illustrates that the proposed walking indices can accurately represent the walking environment for shopping and dining. The results in this study could provide references for citizens seeking to engage in activities of shopping and dining with a good walking environment. [Termes IGN] zone urbaineRésumé : (auteur) It has become increasingly important in spatial equity studies to understand activity spaces – where people conduct regular out-of-home activities. Big data can advance the identification of activity spaces and the understanding of spatial equity. Using the Los Angeles metropolitan area for the case study, this paper employs geotagged Twitter data to delineate activity spaces with two spatial measures: first, the average distance between users’ home location and activity locations; and second, the area covered between home and activity locations. The paper also finds significant relationship between the spatial measures of activity spaces and neighborhood spatial and socioeconomic characteristics. This research enriches the literature that aims to address spatial equity in activity spaces and demonstrates the applicability of big data in urban socio-spatial research. [Termes IGN] système de gestion de connaissancesRésumé : (auteur This article presents a conceptual model of sport events legacy based on the Olympic and Paralympic Games as a reference. The legacy of mega sport events has gained ever more importance during recent years for both academics and practitioners. The International Olympic Committee looked at the concept of legacy, as it is the best argument with which to illustrate the lasting benefits that are derived from the Olympic Games. The Legacy is the way to structure the capitalization of the benefits and lessons related to the organization of major sporting events. So, our motivation is to develop a tool of the sport events legacy. The aims of the article are first, to investigate the legacy sport events literature, second, to propose a Legacy Conceptual Model (LCM) and to transpose it to a database which will be support to analyse the changes related to legacy. This research target also has a practical implication. So, we investigate how the LCM helps to analyze the legacy left by a sport eve nt using a case study. [Termes IGN] valeur aberranteRésumé : (auteur) Traces collected by citizens using GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) devices during sports activities such as running, hiking or biking are now widely available through different sport-oriented collaborative websites. The traces are collected by citizens for their own purposes and frequently shared with the sports community on the internet. Our research assumption is that crowdsourced GNSS traces may be a valuable source of information to detect updates in authoritative datasets. Despite their availability, the traces present some issues such as poor metadata, attribute incompleteness and heterogeneous positional accuracy. Moreover, certain parts of the traces (GNSS points composing the traces) are results of the displacements made out of the existing paths. In our context (i.e., update authoritative data) these off path GNSS points are considered as noise and should be filtered. Two types of noise are examined in this research: Points representing secondary activities (e.g., having a lunch break) and points representing errors during the acquisition. The first ones we named secondary human behaviour (SHB), whereas we named the second ones outliers. The goal of this paper is to improve the smoothness of traces by detecting and filtering both SHB and outliers. Two methods are proposed. The first one allows for the detection secondary human behaviour by analysing only traces geometry. The second one is a rule-based machine learning method that detects outliers by taking into account the intrinsic characteristics of points composing the traces, as well as the environmental conditions during traces acquisition. The proposed approaches are tested on crowdsourced GNSS traces collected in mountain areas during sports activities. [Termes IGN] système de gestion de connaissancesRésumé : (auteur) Knowledge Management is a way to answer the problem of capitalizing on the companies’ knowledge. Knowing that hosting sports events (SE) requires organizers to learn from past events to not repeat mistakes, we examine knowledge management in a sport events legacy (SEL). Thus, in this paper, we propose in first, two conceptual models based on UML; one for the SE, another for SEL. Secondly, we propose a system to manage SEL to assist in the process of data acquisition and capitalization on SE knowledge. This system helps to create an open collaborative platform for consultation, visualization of the spinoffs of sport events. It is intended to be used by public policies, territories, journalists, citizens, historians and all others. We propose also to take into account the spatiotemporal aspects of SE.
