[Termes IGN] positionnement ponctuel précisRésumé : (auteur) Single-frequency precise point positioning (PPP) presents a cost-effective positioning technique for a large number of users. However, it possesses low positioning accuracy and convergence time compared with the dual-frequency PPP. Single-frequency PPP commonly employs GPS satellite systems that suffer from poor satellite geometry, especially in dense urban areas. We develop a new single-frequency PPP model that combines the observations of current GNSS constellations, including GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and Beidou. The MGEX IGS final precise products are utilized to account for the orbital and clock errors, while the IGS final global ionospheric maps (GIM) model is used to correct for the ionospheric delay. The GNSS inter-system biases are treated as additional unknowns in the estimation process. The contribution of the additional GNSS observations to single-frequency PPP is assessed through solution comparison with its traditional GPS-only counterpart. Various GNSS combinations are considered in the assessment, including GPS/GLONASS, GPS/Galileo, GPS/BeiDou and all-constellation GNSS. It is shown that the additional GNSS observations enhance the PPP solution accuracy and convergence time in comparison with the traditional GPS-only solution. Except for stations with a sufficient number of tracked BeiDou satellites, both Galileo and BeiDou have marginal effects on the positioning accuracy due to their limited number of satellites. However, for stations with a sufficient number of visible BeiDou satellites, an average of 40% PPP accuracy improvement is obtained. The major contribution to the PPP accuracy enhancement is obtained from GLONASS satellite observations. [Termes IGN] segmentation dynamiqueRésumé : (Auteur) Human mobility is important for understanding the evolution of size and structure of urban areas, the spatial distribution of facilities, and the provision of transportation services. Until recently, exploring human mobility in detail was challenging because data collection methods consisted of cumbersome manual travel surveys, space-time diaries, or interviews. The development of location-aware sensors has significantly altered the possibilities for acquiring detailed data on human movements. Although this has spurred many methodological developments in identifying human movement patterns, many of these methods operate solely from the analytical perspective and ignore the environmental context within which the movement takes place. In this paper, we attempt to widen this view and present an integrated approach to the analysis of human mobility using a combination of volunteered GPS trajectories and contextual spatial information. We propose a new framework for the identification of dynamic (travel modes) and static (significant places) behaviour using trajectory segmentation, data mining, and spatio-temporal analysis. We are interested in examining if and how travel modes depend on the residential location, age, or gender of the tracked individuals. Further, we explore theorised ‘third places’, which are spaces beyond main locations (home/work) where individuals spend time to socialise. Can these places be identified from GPS traces? We evaluate our framework using a collection of trajectories from 205 volunteers linked to contextual spatial information on the types of places visited and the transport routes they use. The result of this study is a contextually enriched data set that supports new possibilities for modelling human movement behaviour. [Termes IGN] station de référenceRésumé : (auteur) Accurate water level elevations are imperative for water resource management. This paper presents the outcomes of a research study using GPS in measuring water level heights. The authors observed the water elevations of several wells, United States Geological Survey (USGS) gauges and acequia points at three different locations in North–Central New Mexico, USA. Different rapid static and static observation sessions were collected independently and adjusted using the nearby reference control stations. The authors used two different sets of receivers: four Topcon Hiper Lite+ and two Leica GPS1200 The authors were able to examine several network configurations with different continuously operating reference station (CORS) stations. Our findings were analogous to empirically expected errors and showed insignificant differences among the heights obtained from rapid static and static sessions at a 95% confidence level. The authors also compared the results with National Geodetic Survey online positioning users service (NGS OPUS) solutions and confirmed the accuracy of our measurements. As independent measurement technique, we measured the height differences among several of these points with conventional levelling surveys. Our GPS measurements provided small disagreements with height differences obtained with the terrestrial surveys, after the GPS heights were reduced to their orthometric correspondences. Based on these findings, current rapid static GPS positioning methodologies are capable of providing equivalent accuracies as those obtained by static GPS and ground surveying techniques.
