[Termes IGN] propagation d'incertitudeRésumé : (auteur) A landmark based localization with uncertainty analysis based on cameras and geo-referenced landmarks is presented in this paper. The system is developed to adapt different camera configurations for six degree-of-freedom pose estimation. Local bundle adjustment is applied for optimization and the geo-referenced landmarks are integrated to reduce the drift. In particular, the uncertainty analysis is taken into account. On the one hand, we estimate the uncertainties of poses to predict the precision of localization. On the other hand, uncertainty propagation is considered for matching, tracking and landmark registering. The proposed method is evaluated on both KITTI benchmark and the data acquired by a mobile mapping system. In our experiments, decimeter level accuracy can be reached. [Termes IGN] série temporelleRésumé : (Auteur) This study proposes a strategy for accurate mapping of rubber trees through the analysis of Landsat time series datasets. The phenological dynamics of rubber trees were derived from the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) to verify the three important phenological metrics of rubber trees; defoliation, foliation and their growing stages. A decade (2006–2015) ago, Landsat time series NDVIs were used to study the strength of relationship between rubber trees, evergreen trees and oil palm trees. Two important results that could discriminate these three types of vegetation were found; firstly, a weak relationship of NDVIs between rubber trees and evergreen trees during the defoliation period (r2 = 0.1358) and secondly between rubber trees and oil palm trees during the growing period (r2 = 0.2029). This analysis was verified using Support Vector Machine to map the distribution of the three types of vegetation. An accurate mapping strategy of rubber trees was successfully formulated. [Termes IGN] carroyage géographique
[Termes IGN] planisphèreRésumé : (Auteur) Both the media and the geosciences often use small-scale world maps for demonstrating global phenomena. The most important demands on the projection of these maps are: (1) the map distortions have to be reduced as much as possible; (2) the outline shape of the mapped Earth must remind the viewer of the Globe. If the map theme to be illustrated requires neither equivalency (nor, which rarely happens, conformality) nor prescriptions for the map graticule, an aphylactic non-conical projection with simultaneously minimized angular and area distortions is advisable. In this paper, a graticule transformation by a parameterizable function helps to convert minimum distortion pointed-polar pseudocylindrical projections for world maps into general non-conical projections with further minimized distortions. The maximum curvature of the outline shape will be moderated at the same time in order to obtain a definitely pointed-polar character.
