The authors propose a method for evaluating the ability of GPS receivers to operate through scintillation before the next solar maximum arrives in 2013. [Termes IGN] Sao PauloRésumé : (Auteur) A high orthomosaic was generated for the 800 km area of the country of Campinas, Brazil, derived from Ikonos satellite imagery, a Digital Terrain model (DTM) generated from WorldView-1 satellite imagery, and an implemented geodetic network of 19 points. The final orthomosaic was generated both in normal color and in false color infrared in order to broaden the possible applications to environmental issues. This result represents a very interesting solution to cover large areas in short time and with a lower cost than traditional aerophotogrammetric methods, thus with basically the same quality, allowing for a better assertive planning and sustainable development of the territory. [Termes IGN] signal GNSSRésumé : (Auteur) Because satellite designers cannot precisely eliminate small variations in delays among the various signal paths within the spacecraft, GPS signals don’t emerge from the satellite antennas at exactly the same time or from the same location. If not accounted for, these delay offsets would produce navigation fix errors for GPS users. In this article, the authors derive and explain the modernized ionosphere dual- and single-frequency correction algorithms that will resolve these inter-signal variations. They also explain how to modernize any new algorithm, how a single ephemeris models the satellite location when each L-band signal may have separate departure points, and why that one ephemeris might point to a location behind the satellite. [Termes IGN] valeur limiteRésumé : (Auteur) The idea of transforming the geodetic boundary value problem into a boundary value problem with a fixed boundary dates back to the 1970s of the last century. This transformation was found by F. Sanso and was named as gravity-space transformation. Unfortunately, the advantage of having a fixed boundary for the transformed problem was counterbalanced by the theoretical as well as practical disadvantage of a singularity at the origin. In the present paper two more versions of a gravity-space transformation are investigated, where none of them has a singularity. In both cases the transformed differential equations are nonlinear. Therefore, a special emphasis is laid on the linearized problems and their relationships to the simple Hotine-problem and to the symmetries between both formulations. Finally, in numerical simulation study the accuracy of the solutions of both linearized problems is studied and factors limiting this accuracy are identified. [Termes IGN] station permanenteRésumé : (auteur) We have compared coordinate time series from several space geodetic observing techniques to derive the kinematical motions of Ny-Ålesund, Svalbard. Velocity estimates from VLBI, GPS, and DORIS scatter more than the expected error estimates from each technique, and also between individual GPS solutions with different software and analysis strategies. A statistical combination yields average topocentric velocity components of mm/year (north), mm/year (east), and mm/year (vertical) for 1993–2007. The horizontal velocity is in agreement with a combined prediction of NUVEL-NNR-1A and the effects of post-glacial rebound and present day ice melt of nearby glaciers. The observed uplift is twice that predicted by the two latter processes. The non-linear time series of both VLBI and GPS data suggest that the uplift rate increases from 7.0 mm/year before 2003 to 10.8 mm/year after 2003. We conclude that this has a geophysical origin since no monument motions have been detected. A recent sea level decrease (1993–2007) of mm/year supports an absolute sea level increase of 3.2 mm/year as determined elsewhere by satellite altimetry.
