[Vedettes matières IGN] GéovisualisationRésumé : (Auteur) Simulation and subsequent visualization in a network environment are important to glean insights into spatiotemporal processes. As computing systems become increasingly diverse in hardware architectures, operating systems, screen sizes, human–computer interactions and network capabilities, effective simulation and visualization must become adaptive to a wide range of diverse devices. This paper focuses on the optimization of simulation and visualization analysis of the dam-failure flood spatiotemporal process for diverse computing systems. First, an adaptive browser/server architecture of the dam-failure simulation application was designed to fill the hardware performance and visualization context gap that exists within diverse computing systems. Second, a data flow and an optimization method for multilevel time-series flood data were given to provide more support to network simulation, visualization and analysis on diversified terminals. Finally, a user interaction friendly and plugin-free prototype system was developed. The experiment results demonstrate that the methods addressed in this paper can cope with the challenge in simulation, visualization and interaction of a dam-failure simulation application on diversified terminals. [Termes IGN] incendieRésumé : (Auteur) Visual condition survey and inspection is typically the initial method employed in the assessment of concrete damaged by fire, and it is among the most significant non-destructive testing methods. In spite of visual inspection being simple in principle, it is capable of providing cardinal information about the condition of the fire-damaged structure and act as a basis upon which subsequent and detailed assessment methods can be founded. When concrete is exposed to various elevated temperatures, it undergoes change in its physical characteristics among others, and indicators such as change in surface texture, cracks, spalling and colour change become evident. These indicators of fire-damaged concrete can be assessed using visual inspection methods and further assessed with more advanced methods in a case where detailed investigations are needed. In this study, visual inspection of terrestrial laser scanner data of fire-damaged concrete was investigated by modelling and analysing laser intensity. An analysis of the generated intensity images from laser intensity data has proved useful and valuable in the visual inspection of concrete before and after heating. Furthermore, laser scanner geometric data has been used in the assessment of concrete surface roughness before and after heating. [Termes IGN] tenseurRésumé : (Auteur) Deformation monitoring by multipass synthetic aperture radar (SAR) interferometry (InSAR) is, so far, the only imaging-based method to assess millimeter-level deformation over large areas from space. Past research mostly focused on the optimal retrieval of deformation parameters on the basis of a single pixel or a pixel cluster. Only until recently, the first demonstration of object-based urban infrastructure monitoring by fusing InSAR and the semantic classification labels derived from optical images was presented by Wang et al. Given such classification labels in the SAR image, we propose a general framework for object-based InSAR parameter retrieval, where the parameters of the whole object are jointly estimated by the inversion of a regularized tensor model instead of pixelwise. Our approach does not assume the stationarity of each sample in the object, which is usually assumed in other pixel cluster-based methods, such as SqueeSAR. In addition, to handle outliers in real data, a robust phase recovery step prior to parameter retrieval is also introduced. In typical settings, the proposed method outperforms the current pixelwise estimators, e.g., periodogram, by a factor of several tens in the accuracy of the linear deformation estimates. Last but not least, for a practical demonstration on bridge monitoring, we present a full workflow of long-term bridge monitoring using the proposed approach.
