[Termes IGN] traitement de données GNSSRésumé : (Auteur) The GPS analysis strategies, the applied models and software have been considerably changed since the global (IGS - International GNSS Service) and regional (EPN - EUREF Permanent Network) CORS networks are operational. All changes brought along temporal inhomogeneities in the estimated parameters, most apparently in the coordinate time series. After the introduction of the absolute phase centre variation (PCV) models of the satellite and ground GPS antennae, the complete re-analysis of the historical measurements could not be postponed. Within the IGS the re-analysis is now in progress and it will be followed by a coordinated re-processing of the EPN observations from 1996 on.
In preparation of the EPN reprocessing a pilot re-analysis has been done at the Military University of Technology (MUT) in Poland covering the complete EPN dataset and similar work has been started at the Royal Observatory of Belgium (ROB). The target of this work was to assess the required resources, the status and completeness of the database and to quantify the improvement gained by the reprocessing. Using the CATREF software (Altamimi et al. 2004) two cumulative solutions have been created by stacking the standard and the reprocessed weekly EPN SINEX solutions. In this paper, the first analysis of the estimated coordinates, velocities and the residual time series is presented. We detected 10-30% improvement in the weekly weighted RMS, we got smoother time series with smaller coordinate repeatability and a more «ITRF2005-conform» velocity field. The results highly support the need for a complete (from global to local level) GPS reprocessing and the establishment of a new ITRS realization in agreement with the GPS absolute PCV models.Numéro de notice : A2009-566 Affiliation des auteurs : non IGN Thématique : POSITIONNEMENT Nature : Article DOI : sans Permalink : https://documentation.ensg.eu/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=77993

[Termes IGN] surveillance géologiqueRésumé : (Editeur) The study of deformations and crustal dynamics has found in GPS technology a very valuable and flexible tool that can support and, in many cases, replace the traditional and complex geodetic measurements processed in long and expensive survey campaigns. The European Project Interreg III B ALPS GPS QuakeNet - Alpine Integrated GPS Network has aimed to be at the forefront in using this technology, distributing a network of permanent GPS stations on the Alps targeted at monitoring this highly-active seismic area. The study and processing of the data will permit crustal deformation models of the Alpine area to be confirmed or modified, with particular attention to seismogenetic areas for the prevention of seismic hazards. [Termes IGN] station DORISRésumé : (auteur) For Precise Orbit Determination of altimetry missions, we have computed a data set of DORIS station coordinates defined for specific time intervals called DPOD2005. This terrestrial reference set is an extension of ITRF2005. However, it includes all new DORIS stations and is more reliable, as we disregard stations with large velocity formal errors as they could contaminate POD computations in the near future. About 1/4 of the station coordinates need to be defined as they do not appear in the original ITRF2005 realization. These results were verified with available DORIS and GPS results, as the integrity of DPOD2005 is almost as critical as its accuracy. Besides station coordinates and velocities, we also provide additional information such as periods for which DORIS data should be disregarded for specific DORIS stations, and epochs of coordinate and velocity discontinuities (related to either geophysical events, equipment problem or human intervention). The DPOD model was tested for orbit determination for TOPEX/Poseidon (T/P), Jason-1 and Jason-2. Test results show DPOD2005 offers improvement over the original ITRF2005, improvement that rapidly and significantly increases after 2005. Improvement is also significant for the early T/P cycles indicating improved station velocities in the DPOD2005 model and a more complete station set. Following 2005 the radial accuracy and centering of the ITRF2005-original orbits rapidly degrades due to station loss.
