[Termes IGN] traitement de données GNSSIndex. décimale : 30.61 Systèmes de Positionnement par Satellites du GNSS Résumé : (Editeur) Navigation systems engineering is a red-hot area. More and more technical professionals are entering the field and looking for practical, up-to-date engineering know-how. This single-source reference answers the call, providing both an introduction to overall systems operation and an in-depth treatment of architecture, design, and component integration. The book explains how satellite, on-board, and other navigation technologies operate, and it gives practitioners insight into performance issues such as processing chains and error sources. Providing solutions to systems designers and engineers, the book describes and compares different integration architectures, and explains how to diagnose errors. Moreover, this hands-on book includes appendices filled with terminology and equations for quick referencing. Note de contenu : Introduction

[Termes IGN] paramètres d'orientation de la TerreRésumé : (auteur) The ITRF2005 is the first rigorous combination ensuring ITRF and EOP consistency, based on time series of station positions and Earth Orientation Parameters (EOPs). The objective of the presentation is the development of a combination strategy allowing to ensure the ITRF2005 and IERS 05 C04 consistency with time. Combining additional input time series after the release of ITRF2005 from the four techniques (VLBI, SLR, GPS and DORIS) allows the assessment of two main procedures: (1) using CATREF combination model and (2) using EOP-only combination method. The main features of the two combination strategies are presented together with numerical application. Comparisons of results obtained by the two procedures will be discussed in an attempt to evaluate the current accuracy of EOP determination by space geodesy techniques and to guide our conclusion for future development. [Termes IGN] série temporelleRésumé : (auteur) The International Terrestrial Reference Frame (ITRF) as a realization of the International Terrestrial Reference System is one of the scientific products of the International Earth Rotation and Reference Systems Service (IERS). The ITRF is the standard frame recommended for a variety of applications, from surveying to the very fine studies in Earth Sciences. In order to satisfy science requirements, the ITRF should be accurate, reliable and internally consistent over time with unambiguously specified datum definition (origin, scale, orientation and their respective time evolution). Starting with the ITRF2005, the input data requested for the ITRF construction are under the form of time series of station positions and Earth Orientation Parameters (EOPs). Such data do not only allow an appropriate evaluation of the frame accuracy and internal consistency, but also are adequately suited to measure the positioning performance of space geodesy techniques. This paper attempts to review the positioning performance of space techniques via the analysis of the submitted time series to ITRF2005. A special focus will also be given to address the current accuracy level of the ITRF datum definition. [Termes IGN] International Terrestrial Reference Frame
[Termes IGN] télémétrie laser sur satelliteRésumé : (auteur) It is expected to start preparing for a new version of the International Terrestrial Reference Frame, namely the ITRF2008. Before initiating this new solution, some conditions have to be satisfied, mainly the need of reprocessed and consistent solutions from each technique: a new reprocessed IGS solution involving the absolute PCV models, an improved reanalysis solution from IVS accounting for the mean pole tide correction and better troposphere modeling, an improved ILRS solution taking into account all range biases and other station-dependent corrections, and new DORIS solutions where improvements are expected in the frame Z translation and the scale. In preparation of the ITRF2008, we analyze here individual SLR and the IVS regular time series solutions of station positions. A particular emphasis is given to the time behavior of the frame physical parameters (origin and scale). In an attempt to evaluate the pertinence of the estimated vertical velocities of SLR and VLBI stations co- located with GPS, we confront both estimations to GIA model predictions. This confrontation suggests poor agreement between the model predictions and space geodesy estimates on a site-by-site basis.
