[Termes IGN] International Terrestrial Reference Frame
[Termes IGN] télémétrie laser sur satelliteRésumé : (auteur) Since the beginning of the ITRF activities in 1988, the analysis centers of the Satellite Laser Ranging (SLR) technique contributed significantly to the International Terrestrial Reference Frame (ITRF). Moreover in terms of datum definition, some SLR solutions were used in the origin and scale definition of the ITRF. In this paper we will review the SLR contribution to the ITRF in terms of network, origin, and scale as well as provide a quality assessment. Some aspects related to the optimal establishment of a global reference frame will be examined in the case of the SLR technique, taking into account the reality of its current network configuration. Future ITRF directions will be presented, in particular the inclusion of the Earth Orientation Parameters in the ITRF combination. Some combination tests will be used to discuss the frame parameters. [Termes IGN] International Terrestrial Reference SystemRésumé : (Auteur) With the advent of Space geodesy techniques in early eighties, global terrestrial reference frames became available whose precision is still improving parallel to measuring and modeling advances. As a global reference, the realization of the International Terrestrial Reference System (ITRS), known as the International Terrestrial Reference Frame (ITRF), maintained by the International Earth Rotation Service, has sustained substantial improvement and enhancement. One of the major new trends is the 2000 ITRS realization, to be considered as a standard solution for a wide user community (geodesy, geophysics, astronomy, etc.). The ITRF2000 comprises on one hand primary core stations observed by VLBI, LLR, GPS, SLR and DORIS techniques and, on the other hand, significant extension provided by regional GPS networks for densifications as well as other useful geodetic markers tied to space geodetic ones. The ITRF2000 combination and implementation strategy are described in this paper. Important results in terms of datum definition as well as quality assessment of the ITRF2000 are presented. [Termes IGN] positionnement par ITGBRésumé : (Auteur) In the Antarctic region some stations have conducted geodetic observation using space geodetic techniques. At the Syowa Station, regular Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI) observation has been undertaken since 1998. In this session different recording systems were employed. Development of Copy system enabled us to process the data. Meanwhile, since 1992, the O'Higgins Station has been leading an international network involving most of the VLBI stations in the Southern Hemisphere. The Syowa Station has been taking part in this network since 1999 by developing another Copy system, and good results have been obtained. This is the first VLBI observation of the intra-Antarctic plate baseline.
