[Termes IGN] rayonnement solaireRésumé : (auteur) The quality of BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS) Geostationary Earth Orbit (GEO) ultra-rapid products is unsatisfactory because GEO satellites are nearly stationary relative to ground stations. To optimize the quality of these ultra-rapid orbit products, we investigated the effects of the fitting arc length, an a priori Solar-Radiation Pressure (SRP) model, and the along-track empirical acceleration on the prediction of BDS GEO satellite orbits. The predicted orbit arcs of 24-h were evaluated through comparisons with the corresponding observed orbit arc and Satellite Laser Ranging (SLR) observations. In both eclipse and non-eclipse seasons, accuracy of the orbit predictions obtained using a 48-h fitting arc length were better than those obtained using 24-h and 72-h fitting arc lengths. Although the overlapping precision of predicted orbits exhibited no obvious improvement when an a priori SRP model was employed, the systematic bias in the SLR residuals was significantly reduced. Specifically, the mean value of SLR residuals decreased from −0.248 m to −0.024 m during non-eclipse seasons and from −0.333 m to −0.041 m during eclipse seasons, respectively. In addition, when an empirical acceleration in the along-track direction was introduced, the three-Dimensional Root-Mean-Square (3D RMS) of overlapping orbits during eclipse seasons decreased from 2.964 to 1.080 m, which is comparable to that during non-eclipse seasons. Furthermore, the Standard Deviation (STD) of SLR residuals decreased from 0.419 to 0.221 m during eclipse seasons. The analysis of SRP estimates shows that the stability of SRP parameters was significantly enhanced after the introduction of along-track empirical acceleration in eclipse seasons. The optimal BDS GEO ultra-rapid orbit prediction products were yielded by using a 48-h fitting arc length, an a priori SRP model and an along-track empirical acceleration. [Vedettes matières IGN] Ecologie forestièreRésumé : (auteur) Forests deliver many ecosystem services, from provisioning to regulating and cultural services. We aimed at demonstrating microclimatic regulation and pollutant removal as especially relevant ecosystem services when considering the tourism vocation of the Alpine regions. A study was realized along an altitudinal gradient (900–1600 m a.s.l.) in Trentino, northern Italy, an area with high touristic presence (ca. 9.3 million overnight stays in summer 2021). Nitrogen dioxide (NO2, µg m−3), ozone (O3, µg m−3) concentrations, air temperature (T, °C), and relative humidity (RH, %) were simultaneously measured in three open-field sites (OF) and below-canopy Norway spruce forest stands (FO) during the period 23 May–7 August 2013. The temperature–humidity index (THI) was calculated. We found a distinct mitigating effect of forest on T, with lower maximum (−30.6%) and higher minimum values (+6.3%) in FO than in OF. THI supported a higher comfort sensation in FO than in OF, especially in the central part of the day. NO2 concentrations did not differ between OF and FO; ozone concentrations were lower in FO than OF. This study confirms the role of forests in providing several ecosystem services beneficial for forest users, especially relevant for promoting nature-based tourism in the Alpine region. The current methods typically focus on the simplicity and fidelity of the model, but those methods either fail to preserve the structural information or suffer from low computational efficiency. In this paper, we propose a novel method to generate concise building models from dense meshes by extracting and completing the planar primitives of the building. From the perspective of probability, we first extract planar primitives from the input mesh and obtain the adjacency relationships between the primitives. Since primitive loss and structural defects are inevitable in practice, we employ a novel structural completion approach to eliminate linkage errors. Finally, the concise polygonal mesh is reconstructed by connectivity-based primitive assembling. Our method is efficient and robust to various challenging data. Experiments on various building models revealed the efficacy and applicability of our method. [Termes IGN] utilisation du solRésumé : (auteur) The ever-increasing population causes huge pressure on the areas already inhabited and causes a decrease in an area per capita. This fact necessitates an essential demand for evaluating and classifying the soil according to its agricultural productivity for different crops. This research aimed to evaluate lands which proposed to use in the agricultural field in the south of Al-Dabaa Corridor based on remote sensed data and GIS techniques. Moreover, the future optimum agricultural use planning will be projected based on the land assessments in the study area. Land suitability was evaluated using ALES-arid software for six crops. It was found that 74% of the study area was suitable for one fruit crop, date palm, and about 77.3% for one crop, alfalfa, and also suitable for one vegetable crop, tomato, by 77.1%. Furthermore, it was found that the study area was moderately suitable for other two crops, faba bean and maize (72.7 and 67.8%), and one fruit crop, citrus (70.1%). On the other hand, it was found that the characteristics that most affected the suitability class of fruit crops were soil salinity, soil depth, ESP, slope, and coarse texture. Finally, the study area should go under major reclamation process (removal of the excess salts and improvement of the drainage conditions) in order to obtain the highest production. [Termes IGN] toponymeRésumé : (auteur) Addresses, one of the most important geographical reference systems in natural languages, are usually used to search spatial objects in daily life. Geocoding concatenates text with georeferenced coordinates and is an essential middleware service in geographic information applications. Despite its importance, geocoding remains challenging with only text as input, hindering text matching in reference databases without the specific text. To optimize the storage and retrieval of addresses in databases, this work proposes a graph-based approach for representing addresses. The approach clarifies the characteristics of relative concepts, designs a graph structure and identifies modelling strategies. Furthermore, a schema is proposed to perform address matching and toponym disambiguation using an address graph. The model is implemented on a graph database, and experimental tasks are employed to demonstrate its effectiveness. The approach provides a new reference for developers when creating address databases.
