[Termes IGN] semis de pointsRésumé : (Auteur) As one of the most common features in the man-made environments, straight lines play an important role in many applications. In this paper, we present a new framework to extract line segments from large-scale point clouds. The proposed method is fast to produce results, easy for implementation and understanding, and suitable for various point cloud data. The key idea is to segment the input point cloud into a collection of facets efficiently. These facets provide sufficient information for determining linear features in the local planar region and make line segment extraction become relatively convenient. Moreover, we introduce the concept “number of false alarms” into 3-D point cloud context to filter the false positive line segment detections. We test our approach on various types of point clouds acquired from different ways. We also compared the proposed method with several other methods and provide both quantitative and visual comparison results. The experimental results show that our algorithm is efficient and effective, and produce more accurate and complete line segments than the comparative methods. To further verify the accuracy of the line segments extracted by the proposed method, we also present a line-based registration framework, which employs these line segments on point clouds registration. [Vedettes matières IGN] Traitement de données GNSSRésumé : (auteur) Precise positioning with the current Chinese BeiDou Navigation Satellite System is proven to be of comparable accuracy to the Global Positioning System, which is at centimeter level for the horizontal components and sub-decimeter level for the vertical component. But the BeiDou precise point positioning (PPP) shows its limitation in requiring a relatively long convergence time. In this study, we develop a numerical weather model (NWM) augmented PPP processing algorithm to improve BeiDou precise positioning. Tropospheric delay parameters, i.e., zenith delays, mapping functions, and horizontal delay gradients, derived from short-range forecasts from the Global Forecast System of the National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP) are applied into BeiDou real-time PPP. Observational data from stations that are capable of tracking the BeiDou constellation from the International GNSS Service (IGS) Multi-GNSS Experiments network are processed, with the introduced NWM-augmented PPP and the standard PPP processing. The accuracy of tropospheric delays derived from NCEP is assessed against with the IGS final tropospheric delay products. The positioning results show that an improvement in convergence time up to 60.0 and 66.7% for the east and vertical components, respectively, can be achieved with the NWM-augmented PPP solution compared to the standard PPP solutions, while only slight improvement in the solution convergence can be found for the north component. A positioning accuracy of 5.7 and 5.9 cm for the east component is achieved with the standard PPP that estimates gradients and the one that estimates no gradients, respectively, in comparison to 3.5 cm of the NWM-augmented PPP, showing an improvement of 38.6 and 40.1%. Compared to the accuracy of 3.7 and 4.1 cm for the north component derived from the two standard PPP solutions, the one of the NWM-augmented PPP solution is improved to 2.0 cm, by about 45.9 and 51.2%. The positioning accuracy for the up component improves from 11.4 and 13.2 cm with the two standard PPP solutions to 8.0 cm with the NWM-augmented PPP solution, an improvement of 29.8 and 39.4%, respectively. [Termes IGN] série temporelleRésumé : (auteur) Due to rapid losses of mangrove forests caused by anthropogenic disturbances and climate change, accurate and contemporary maps of mangrove forests are needed to understand how mangrove ecosystems are changing and establish plans for sustainable management. In this study, a new classification algorithm was developed using the biophysical characteristics of mangrove forests in China. More specifically, these forests were mapped by identifying: (1) greenness, canopy coverage, and tidal inundation from time series Landsat data, and (2) elevation, slope, and intersection-with-sea criterion. The annual mean Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) was found to be a key variable in determining the classification thresholds of greenness, canopy coverage, and tidal inundation of mangrove forests, which are greatly affected by tide dynamics. In addition, the integration of Sentinel-1A VH band and modified Normalized Difference Water Index (mNDWI) shows great potential in identifying yearlong tidal and fresh water bodies, which is related to mangrove forests. This algorithm was developed using 6 typical Regions of Interest (ROIs) as algorithm training and was run on the Google Earth Engine (GEE) cloud computing platform to process 1941 Landsat images (25 Path/Row) and 586 Sentinel-1A images circa 2015. The resultant mangrove forest map of China at 30 m spatial resolution has an overall/users/producer’s accuracy greater than 95% when validated with ground reference data. In 2015, China’s mangrove forests had a total area of 20,303 ha, about 92% of which was in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Guangdong, and Hainan Provinces. This study has demonstrated the potential of using the GEE platform, time series Landsat and Sentine-1A SAR images to identify and map mangrove forests along the coastal zones. The resultant mangrove forest maps are likely to be useful for the sustainable management and ecological assessments of mangrove forests in China. As computing systems become increasingly diverse in hardware architectures, operating systems, screen sizes, human–computer interactions and network capabilities, effective simulation and visualization must become adaptive to a wide range of diverse devices. This paper focuses on the optimization of simulation and visualization analysis of the dam-failure flood spatiotemporal process for diverse computing systems. First, an adaptive browser/server architecture of the dam-failure simulation application was designed to fill the hardware performance and visualization context gap that exists within diverse computing systems. Second, a data flow and an optimization method for multilevel time-series flood data were given to provide more support to network simulation, visualization and analysis on diversified terminals. Finally, a user interaction friendly and plugin-free prototype system was developed. The experiment results demonstrate that the methods addressed in this paper can cope with the challenge in simulation, visualization and interaction of a dam-failure simulation application on diversified terminals. La résolution angulaire a été évaluée à partir de la précision du pas angulaire d’échantillonnage et du diamètre du faisceau laser de 14 systèmes laser à balayage disponibles dans le commerce (à impulsion et à différence de phase). Afin de valider la méthode développée pour évaluer la précision de la résolution angulaire, un Riegl VZ-400 et un Surphaser 25HSX ont été utilisés pour numériser la statue d'un personnage chinois. Les résultats montrent que le Riegl VZ-400 identifie mieux les détails que le Surphaser 25HSX. La méthode d’évaluation proposée permet de déterminer la sensibilité d'un laser à balayage pour l'enregistrement détaillé d'objets.
