[Termes IGN] pixelRésumé : (auteur) For the classification of hyperspectral images (HSIs), this paper presents a novel framework to effectively utilize the spectral-spatial information of superpixels via multiple kernels, which is termed as superpixel-based classification via multiple kernels (SC-MK). In the HSI, each superpixel can be regarded as a shape-adaptive region, which consists of a number of spatial neighboring pixels with very similar spectral characteristics. First, the proposed SC-MK method adopts an oversegmentation algorithm to cluster the HSI into many superpixels. Then, three kernels are separately employed for the utilization of the spectral information, as well as spatial information, within and among superpixels. Finally, the three kernels are combined together and incorporated into a support vector machine classifier. Experimental results on three widely used real HSIs indicate that the proposed SC-MK approach outperforms several well-known classification methods. [Termes IGN] scintillationRésumé : (auteur) A correction methodology for distortions induced by ionospheric scintillation on fully polarimetric synthetic aperture radar (SAR) data is proposed. The correction is based on deriving the phase distortion induced by the ionosphere from Faraday rotation estimates. The estimated phase distortion is then used for correction. In order to compensate the phase and time-Doppler history distortions, the correction has to be performed at the slant range of the ionospheric layer, i.e., on partially focused single-look complex data. Accordingly, the performance of the proposed correction methodology depends, among other factors, on knowledge of the altitude of the effective ionospheric layer (assuming the thin ionospheric layer model). Its estimation from the SAR data itself is therefore also addressed. The methodology was applied and validated on simulated P-band data for various ionospheric conditions and on real L-band data acquired by the Advanced Land Observation Satellite Phased Array L-band SAR (PALSAR). [Termes IGN] vitesseRésumé : (auteur) A 1.5-μm all-fiber coherent Doppler lidar system for wind sensing was developed and characterized. The system design and implementation is presented. The system employs a 20-kHz pulse repetition rate transmitter and samples return signals at 400 MHz. A field-programmable gate array is programmed to generate and accumulate real-time periodograms representing average power spectra of the Doppler shifted echo from a series of more than 60 range gates, where each range gate is 48 m. The accumulated periodograms are streamed to a host computer for subsequent processing to yield the line-of-sight wind velocity. Wind velocity estimates with a precision value of 0.08 m/s can be made under nominal aerosol loading and nominal atmospheric turbulence conditions for ranges up to 3 km. Wind velocities and aerosol profiles are obtained while scanning the pointing direction of the lidar, thus producing both horizontal and vertical representations of the wind vectors. The ESA mission GOCE (Gravity field and steady-state Ocean Circulation Explorer) has enabled to map the Earth gravity field and its gradients with a resolution of 80 km, leading to significant advances in physical oceanography and solid Earth physics. At smaller scales, airborne gravity gradiometry has been increasingly used during the past decade in mineral and hydrocarbon exploration. In both cases the sensitivity of gradiometers to the short wavelengths of the gravity field is of crucial interest. Here, we quantify and characterize the error on the gravity gradients estimated from measurements performed with a new instrument concept, called GREMLIT, for typical airborne conditions. GREMLIT is an ultra-sensitive planar gravitational gradiometer which consists in a planar acceleration gradiometer together with 3 gyroscopes. To conduct this error analysis, a simulation of a realistic airborne survey with GREMLIT is carried out. We first simulate realistic GREMLIT synthetic data, taking into account the acceleration gradiometer and gyroscope noises and biases and the variation of orientation of the measurement reference frame. Then, we estimate the gravity gradients from these data. Special attention is paid to the processing of the gyroscopes measurements whose accuracy is not commensurate with the ultra-sensitive gradiometer. We propose a method to calibrate the gyroscopes biases with a precision of the order 10−8 rad/s. In order to transform the tensor from the measurement frame to the local geodetic frame, we estimate the error induced when replacing the non-measured elements of the gravity gradient tensor by an a priori model. With the appropriate smoothing, we show that it is possible to achieve a precision better than 2E for an along-track spatial resolution of 2 km. [Termes IGN] source d'erreurRésumé : (auteur) The ZiYuan-3 satellite (ZY-3) was China’s first civilian stereo mapping satellite designed to meet the 1:50 000 scale mapping requirements. We analyzed main error sources influencing the geometric accuracy of the ZY-3 images, and the error propagation rules of these error sources in image production. Accuracy estimation models of ZY-3 images without ground control points (GCPs) were deduced and the theoretical geometric accuracy of ZY-3 images was obtained. Without GCPs, 556 ZY-3 panchromatic nadir images covering 3,500,000 km2 of the Chinese mid-west region and 12 ZY-3 stereo image pairs covering 14,000 km2 around Taiyuan of China were used for planar and vertical accuracy verification, respectively. The experimental results confirmed the correctness of the accuracy estimation model for ZY-3 images. The accuracy results obtained through the model and experiment showed that without GCPs, the geometric accuracy of the ZY-3 images satisfied the Chinese stereo mapping requirements for 1:50 000 scale topographic maps Numéro de notice : A2015-992 Affiliation des auteurs : non IGN Thématique : IMAGERIE Nature : Article DOI : 10.14358/PERS.81.12.927 En ligne : https://doi.org/10.14358/PERS.81.12.927 Permalink : https://documentation.ensg.eu/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=80273
