[Termes IGN] variation temporelleRésumé : (auteur) North China Plain is the largest agricultural production center in China and wheat-maize rotation is a widespread cultivation practice in this area. As gross primary production (GPP) is a proxy of land productivity, research on its spatial-temporal dynamics helps understand the variation of grain production in wheat-maize rotation. Here, Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) data and ground observation data were combined to drive Vegetation Photosynthesis Model (VPM) in GPP estimation over wheat-maize rotation area during 2000–2015. Annual GPP has increased by 540.95 g C m−2 year−1 from 2000 to 2015, while total annual GPP has grown ∼150% than that of 2000. Moreover, annual GPP showed an increasing trend in the consecutively wheat-maize rotation area between 2000 and 2015. A strong linear relationship between GPP estimates and grain production demonstrated the potential of using VPM model to evaluate grain production in wheat-maize rotation area of Henan province, China. [Termes IGN] simplification de surfaceRésumé : (auteur) The simplification of three-dimensional (3D) building models to improve rendering efficiency has gained widespread attention. To maintain the model's overall appearance features while increasing the simplification rate, we propose a novel 3D building simplification method that considers both the model mesh and building structure. The method divides a 3D building into a primary structure and subsidiary structures. It then organizes these structures using StructureTree, a multi-way tree. The structures are organized according to the dependency relationships between building structures. When simplifying a building, the decision whether to simplify the mesh or remove the subsidiary structure in the leaf node of the StructureTree depends on the volume change caused by the edge collapse and the visual saliency of the removed structure. The experimental results show that our method exhibits a better simplification effect than the traditional simplification method, and the proposed method can achieve a high simplification rate while maintaining the simplification quality. Furthermore, the results of some spatial analyses based on the highly simplified building model are consistent with those of the original model. [Termes IGN] signalisation routièreRésumé : (auteur) The classification and extraction of road markings and lanes are of critical importance to infrastructure assessment, planning and road safety. We present a pipeline for the accurate segmentation and extraction of rural road surface objects in 3D lidar point-cloud, as well as a method to extract geometric parameters belonging to tar seal. To decrease the computational resources needed, the point-clouds were aggregated into a 2D image space before being transformed using affine transformations. The Mask R-CNN algorithm is then applied to the transformed image space to localize, segment and classify the road objects. The segmentation results for road surfaces and markings can then be used for geometric parameter estimation such as road widths estimation, while the segmentation results show that the efficacy of the existing Mask R-CNN to segment needle-type objects is improved by our proposed transformations. [Termes IGN] temps réelRésumé : (auteur) Real-time precise orbit determination (POD) of low earth orbiters (LEOs) is crucial for orbit maintenance as well as autonomous operation for space missions. The Global Positioning System (GPS) has become the dominant technique for real-time precise orbit determination (POD) of LEOs. However, the observation conditions of near-earth space are more critical than those on the ground. Real-time POD accuracy can be seriously affected when the observation environment suffers from strong space events, i.e., a heavy solar storm. In this study, we proposed a reliable adaptive Kalman filter based on pseudorange and epoch-differenced carrier-phase measurements. This approach uses the epoch-differenced carrier phase to eliminate the ambiguities and thus reduces the significant number of unknown parameters. Real calculations demonstrate that four to five observed GPS satellites is sufficient to solve reliable position parameters. Furthermore, with accurate pseudorange and epoch-differenced carrier-phase-based reference orbits, orbital dynamic disturbance can be detected precisely and reliably with an adaptive Kalman filter. Analyses of Swarm-A POD show that sub-meter level real-time orbit solutions can be obtained when the observation conditions are good. For poor observation conditions such as the GRACE-A satellite on 8 September 2017, when fewer than five GPS satellites were observed for 14% of the observation time, 1–2 m orbital accuracy can still be achieved with the proposed approach. [Termes IGN] température de l'airRésumé : (auteur) Heritage preservation poses numerous difficulties, especially in emergency situations or during budget cuts. In these contexts, having tools that facilitate efficient and rapid management of hazards-vulnerabilities is a priority for the preventive conservation and triage of cultural assets. This paper presents the first (to the authors' knowledge) free and public availability Artificial Intelligence platform designed for conservation strategies in cultural heritage. Art-Risk 3.0 is a platform designed as a fuzzy-logic inference system that combines information from geographical information system maps with expert assessments, in order to identify the contextual threat level and the degree of vulnerability that heritage buildings present. Thanks to the possibilities that the geographic information system offers, 12 Spanish churches (11th - 16th centuries) were analyzed. The artificial intelligence platform developed makes it possible to analyze the index of hazard, vulnerability and functionality, classify buildings according to the risk in order to do a sustainable use of budgets through the rational management of preventive conservation. The data stored in the system allows identify the danger due to geotechnics, precipitation, torrential downpour, thermal oscillation, frost, earthquake and flooding. Through the use of fuzzy logic, the tool interrelates environmental conditions with 14 other variables related to structural risks and the vulnerability of buildings, which are evaluated through bibliographic search and review of photographic images. The geographic information system has identified torrential rains and thermal oscillations as the environmental threats that mostly impact heritage buildings in Spain. The results obtained highlight the Church of Santiago de Jesús as the most vulnerable building due to a lack of preventive conservation programs. These results, consistent with the inclusion of this monument on the list of heritage at risk defined by Hispania Nostra, corroborate the functionality of the model.
